"Feelings are everywhere - be gentle."-Unknown
-Chapter five-
Bryson looked at me as I stood there in disbelief.
"Do you know him?"
He said as he pointed at the closed door.I shook my head. "I know his son."
"How?" he asked.
"Does it matter?" I snapped.
I didn't want to tell him that he was the guy I hung out with then ditched him for my ex at a party. And now I'm with him.
I sighed.
Boys never wanted to be with me. Besides Logan but then Drew and now Jesse and Bryson and I think Quitton wants me too. He wants one thing though just to cover up a secret. I feel like running away.
Bryson's hand was snapping in front of my face.
"Dude, you okay?"
I snapped out of my mind ramble.
"Huh, yeah..sure."
His eyes widened. "What?" I slowly asked. What could he possibly be thinking?
"I just asked you if you wanted to go back to my place and have sex....and you said..."
I quickly realized where he was going with it.
"Bryson! I didn't mean that. I wasn't listening!"
He laughed all the way back to Neely's car. He sat down in the driver seat, still laughing.
I groaned and turned the radio up really loud.
His laughter quickly disappeared.
He stared at me as l quietly sang the song.
He turned it down so fast I didn't realize I was still singing.
"You know this song?" he said pointing to the muted radio.
I nodded.
"Yeah, I love that band."
He shrugged in disbelief, "Hmmm, never woulda guessed."
"You think because I'm a cheerleader I'm suppose to like that pop crap and not heavy metal?"
I heard the hardness in my voice. Even though it was just about a stupid song, it posse me off.
He shook his head.
"No, I was just saying that you didn't seem like...." I cut him off.
"Whatever, take me home."
He took off his jacket and grabbed the wheel. His shirt had no sleeves so his tattooed arms were tensed as he grabbed the wheel. My eyes scanned his bicep, which was practically covered in tattoos.
"I didn't realize you had so many." My eyes widened. I also didn't realized I said that out loud.
He grinned.
"I have a thing for them. They fascinate me ya' know? My parents and Neely hate them but I don't care. Do you have one?" He raise an eyebrow like it was a joke.
My body froze. "No!" I said quickly.
He eyed me. "That doesn't sound convincing." He grinned as he saw my hand on my hip. So close.
"I d-d-don't have one. My dad would kill me then my mom would bury me."
His grin grew. "Lemme see it." He reached for my shirt.
