Chapter 2!!
Saturday morning.
I felt like somebody was watching me. In my sleep? I slowly opened my eyes and saw my twerp of a brother standing over me in a John McCain mask.
"Ugh, you are such a freak." I said as I hit the masked idiot with my palm.
He threw the mask off and laughed. "I've been standing there for like twenty minutes." He said with a cackle.
"Because you're a loser, who has nothing better to do than to watch me sleep." I said with a smirk.
He stopped laughing. "Whatever, I do have better things to do. See ya lataaaa beeeyotch." he said flipping me off.
I shook my head, why must I have such a thug wannabe for a brother. I grabbed my jacket and jogged downstairs.
"I'm going to meet Neely!" I stopped at the mirror near the door. I cringed at the short girl looking back. There was no help for her. I put my hair in a ponytail and slipped on my running shoes.
To stay in shape Neely had this great idea for us to run to the coffee shop every Saturday. One problem; I hate running.
I walk to the end of the driveway and put my iPod on shuffle. The song that came on was I Just Wanna Run.
I rolled my eyes at the irony and started to run.
About ten songs later I stopped to take a breather.
I heard a muffled voice. I took the headphones out and looked up.
A deep blue mustang was parked inches away from me. Leaning on it was Jesse.
I was still breathing heavy from my run.
"I said, why are you running?" he said.
I stood up straight. "To get to the coffee shop."
"You don't have a car?" He said with a humorous tone.
"I do, I just promised my friend I'd run there every Saturday."
He blinked.
"It's a cheerleader thing." I said.
His face lit up. "She won't know if you ride there."
His hand glided across the unrolled window. He grabbed the glistening door handle and with a click the door was open.
I looked up at his hand awaiting mine. His face was hard to say no to. My eyes scanned him. His deep green eyes stared into mine. His dark hair and his pale skin made them brighter. The right eye winked.
I looked at his hand again. "No, no she won't." I said as I took his hand.
He shut the door behind me and walked calmly to the drivers side.
"So you never texted me back." He said with a smirk as I realized he was staring at me.
"My phone broke." I said with a shrug.
"Yeah, I bet. If you didn't want to you could just say so." He said with his teeth showing in a perfect smile.
I gasped, "It did break! Some idiot crushed it at school. I was in the middle of texting you back when it happened."
He nodded sarcastically.
I punched his arm.
"Ow, cheerleader has an arm!" He said as he rubbed his bicep.
