Miley's POV

"Liam, I'm in labor." I say, then his eyes open wide and he sits up quickly.

"Are you serious?!" He asks, and I nod with a smile. "Let's go!" He says.

"Woah woah woah woah. First of all, I'm not going anywhere."

"Why? As I recall, we decided to do this at the hospital."

"I'm not gonna lie in an uncomfortable hospital bed for eight plus hours."

"Well then what are you suggesting we do?" He asks.

"I'm suggesting we stay here at least until my water breaks." I say.

"Are you crazy? What if your water breaks and it goes really fast and you have the baby here?!"

"Labor doesn't progress that fast, Liam."

"But we're a ways from the hospital! What if your water breaks and we don't make it to the hospital in time?"

"Liam, we'll be fine." I say.

"Okay, if you say so...so what do we do until you're ready to go to the hospital?" Then I shake my head.

"I don't know. I was hoping you'd come up with something?"

"Me? Why me?" He asks.

"Because I'm a little busy birthing a child at the moment."

"Fine, let's go back to sleep." He proposes.

"Maybe you can, but I'm gonna be stuck here with nothing to do because I'm having frigging contractions. Ow!" I say.

"Contraction?"

"Noooo. I'm saying ow because I feel like it. Of course it's a contraction ya dumbass!" I say.

"Breathe through-"

"Don't you dare say "the pain" or I'm gonna throat punch you." I threaten.

"Fine." He says. "Breathe through it." He says quickly, and I glare at him.

"Shut. Up."

"Sorry, I'm just trying to be helpful."

"Laim, you'll be helpful when you shut up."

"Calm down. I know you're only acting like this because you're in pain. I get it."

"No you don't. If you knew what I was going through right now you'd be dead. D-E-A-D dead."

"No I wouldn't. Guys can handle much worse than women."

"Give me your hand." I say with a smile. "I'm not gonna hurt you."

"That's what you always say before you hurt me." He says.

"Give. Me. Your. Hand." Then he gives me his hand, and I hold it, then I smile. "See? I'm not gonna hurt you."

"Phew, I thought for sure you-"

"Ow!" I say, squeezing his hand as hard as I could.

"Ow!" He says.

"See?" I ask when the contraction passes. "Women can handle more."

"Fine, whatever." He says.

"Ha. I win." I say, gloating with a smile.

"What the hell ever." Then he yawns.

"Go to sleep." I say.

"But you'll be bored."
