Chapter Two (Harry)

The next day, all the lads came over so he made a bigger breakfast then usual.

"Is.. Is that all you're gonna eat?" Harry asked.

He noticed that Louis squirmed slightly at the question. "I.. I'm just not very hungry, I guess."

"Well... Sweetheart, we aren't gonna be able to eat for a while.. Probably not till after the concert tonight."

"But.. I'm not-"

"Please, Lou? For me?"

Lou sighed and began nibbling on the piece of toast Harry had set on his plate. Once he had eaten enough for Harry (some scrambled eggs and a piece of toast) he stood up and mumbled, "'m gonna go take a shower." and left with a small kiss to Harry's temple.

Once he was gone, Harry let out a groan and laid his head in his arms.

"Okay, mate?" Zayn asked, laying a hand on his shoulder.

"Yeah.. It's.. It's just I feel like I'm constantly fighting him... To take care of himself. He doesn't care. About what happens to him.. I mean, he never has, but.. It's.. like, gotten worse in the past few months. And... It's pretty fucking scary."

"Have you tried talking to him?" Niall asked with a mouthful of food.

Harry let out a exasperated laugh, if only things were that simple. "Do you even know Louis, Ni? He'll never admit any things wrong."

"We've all been a little stressed, Haz. And I'm sure the whole Eleanor thing isn't helping-" Liam said.

Harry sighed, "I told him to let me help, let me have the girlfriend-"

"The fact that either of you have to do that is ridiculous." Zayn cut in fiercely and Niall nodded in agreement.

"It's only for a few more months and them El will be out of the picture-" Liam started.

"Yeah until another girlfriend comes up," Harry grumbled.

"Let's just focus on the bright side.. Lets get Lou back to normal."

Eleanor flipped through the clothing racks while Louis stayed back, smiling at the texts Harry was sending.

"We're shopping for your boyfriend, the least you could do is help me out."

Louis rolled his eyes and muttered an apology and began looking through the clothes with her.

"Can.. Can I ask you something?" Eleanor asked tentatively.

"Sure, El." He said distractedly, pulling a shirt out of the rack.

"Why... Look, I.." Eleanor sighed, "I feel like I'm trying my hardest."

"Trying your hardest for what?"

"To be friends. With you. And Harry."

Louis stopped and turned to look at her.

"I know this isn't the most ideal.. Situation or anything but. I'm not.. Trying to destroy your relationship or anything-"

"We know that."

"Then why do I feel like you don't?"

Louis fell silent, his hand automatically picking at his arm.

"You guys think I don't know.. How much I'm unwanted whenever I go to your concerts.. You think I don't see how much your dying to get away from me.. When were on our 'dates'. "

His nails dug into his wrist, watching Eleanor, who was clearly getting more upset as she spoke.

"You guys think I'm just some.. Robot.. Who has no feelings and is just doing this for money. Maybe some of that's true, I do need the money. But believe me when I say, you're not the only one who is giving up something for this." She said, clearly fighting back tears before she slung her bag over her shoulder and headed towards the door.

Louis was frozen, watching her leave before snapping out of it. "El, wait!"

He followed her until they reached a small coffee shop. He sat in the back, waiting for her to order the coffee. Once she had it, she sat down and he slowly sat down the seat across from her.

"So.. You.. You have someone."

She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply. "Had. Had someone."

"You..you never told me."

"I didn't think you cared. Still don't, actually."

He winced slightly, wishing he could deny that fact. "Who was he?"

"Her." She said, looking at him. "Her name was Sophie."
