HIDING TIME!

As the twelve years drew to a close,Pandavas,along with Arjun, decided that they should spend the last year in disguise at King Virata's court.Virata was the King of Matsya.

The following are the Pandavas listed along-side their new roles in the court of Virata.

Yudisthir : Sanyasin(Counsellor) Kanka
He was the counsellor of the king. He helped the king to take proper decisions and also he played the game of dice with the king.

Bheem :Cook Valala
Bheem became the main cook of the kingdom. He prepared tasty and enormous amount of food!

Arjun: Eunuch Brihannala(he makes use of urvashi's curse)
Arjun thought dance to the princess of matsya named Uttara.
He also helps the Prince of matsya named Uttar to fight the attack of Duryodhan on matsya.

Nakul :Cattle-Herder Damagranthi and Sahdev: Stable-Keeper Tantripala
Both of them took good care of the horses.

Draupadi served as a maid,Sairandhiri, to the queen. She was the hair stylist of the Queen.

Although Bheem had to kill Kichaka,the general of Virata, for making sexual advances towards Draupadi,the Pandavas spent much of the last year uneventfully and unrecognised by anyone. Hearing of Kichaka's Death,Duryodhan concluded it was Bheem's work and decided to invade Virata's kingdom.As he had hoped,Arjun,awkwardly dressed as an eunuch, confronted them on the battlefield and defeated them easily. Thinking he had exposed the Pandavas before the stipulated period of 13 years,Duryodhan was overjoyed. But to his dismay later,astrologers told him that the 13 years of exile including the last year in hiding had finished before Arjun stepped on to the battlefield. Thereafter,Duryodhan started to prepare for the eventuality of a war.

The Pandavas were further strengthened by the marriage of Uttara,daughter of Virata,to Abhimanyu who was the son of Arjun.
