Gandivdhari Arjun-The Warrior Prince

TIME OF PRIDE :)

All the princes have successfully completed their training. Arjun was a great Archer, Bheem was a good mace fighter, Nakul and Sahdev were good at sword fighting and Yudisthir in justice. Duryodhan was also a good mace fighter. It was time for all of them to show of their skills. In the big palace they welcomed one by one. Kunti, Gandhari, Bhishma, Dronacharya, King Dritarashtra, Mahamantri Vidur, etc all were present in the court of skill display.
All the princes displayed their skills. Everyone present there was very happy. Arjun came to perform. He performed various forms of archery. Everybody were struck by his performance. At last after everything when Guruji was about to declare that Arjun was the best Archer, a tall, fit man interrupted. He too had a bow and arrow in his hand.
He didn't seem to be rich like the princes. He came further and spoke," Guruji, before you declare you must first decide. So I come forward to challenge your student Arjun. "
Guruji said," I don't know who you are but to challenge this Prince you must first introduce yourself!"
The man with pride spoke,"I'm Karna, the son of Adhirath. Lord Parasuram is my guru! "
Everyone present there started laughing loudly. Guruji said,"how can a charioteer's son challenge a prince like Arjun? You are not a king nor a prince, don't dream of challenging Arjun. Go away from here."
Karna was very badly insulted. He was about to leave.
Duryodhan became furious about the incident. He went near karna and said,"how dare the people present here insult a person like this? So what if he is charioteer's son? The problem with you people is that is is not a king right? So now this great Duryodhan accepts karna as his friend and makes him the king of Angpradesh. Now no one can stop him from challenging against Arjun!"
Everybody including Karna was shocked by the act of Duryodhan.
Then no one had any other go than to accept the challenge. So there was a challenge between karna and Arjun.
Both of them fought equally. Everybody were surprised. But after sometime something strange happened. When a powerful arrow of Arjun was about to hit karna, some sort of golden armour covered his body and protected him from the arrow. Seeing this Kunti was shocked and started to cry very badly. Yes it was her son. Her first son from sun god. She couldn't do anything but just sit and watch her own sons fight.
