1.Actually,Shakuni didn't have to support the kauravas. His main intension was the downfall of the whole hastinapur city due to the injustice done to his sister Ghandari.
2.Sahadev,one among the five Pandavas knew the future of Hastinapur. But he couldn't tell it to anyone because if at all he told he would have died.
3.Draupadi loved Arjun the most among the five Pandavas and she had the strongest bond with Bheem and even he had great attachment and sentiments for her but apart from this she also loved Karna.

It's also said that he didn't make any such promise to his wife Banumathi.9.Duryodhan and few of his siblings name were actually Suyodhan, Sushasan,Sushala....so on... But they were named later like this to suit their bad reputation. This is their misconception.
Actually, in Sanskrit dur means difficult or unconquerable. So his full name means the unconquerable warrior!
