SOME FACTS ABOUT MAHABHARAT...

1.Actually,Shakuni didn't have to support the kauravas. His main intension was the downfall of the whole hastinapur city due to the injustice done to his sister Ghandari.

2.Sahadev,one among the five Pandavas knew the future of Hastinapur. But he couldn't tell it to anyone because if at all he told he would have died.

3.Draupadi loved Arjun the most among the five Pandavas and she had the strongest bond with Bheem and even he had great attachment and sentiments for her but apart from this she also loved Karna.

4.Leaving Arjun the ones who heard the Gita from Lord Krishna was Hanuman(who was on the flag) and Sanjay who narrated the war to Dritarashtra.(who had been granted the power of seeing the war from anywhere by Veda Vyas).

5.It's said that people of dwapar yug(Mahabharat days)were more than 12 feet tall.

6.Shakuni dice was actually made from his father's bones and his leg was twisted by his father to give a permanent limp as Shakuni would remember about his revenge.

5.In his previous life, Dhritarashtra was a tyrant king, who one day while walking on the lake side saw a swan bird surrounded by hundred cygnets (young swans). He ordered to remove the swan bird's eyes and kill all the hundred cygnets just for his passing fancy. Therefore, in next birth he was born blind and all his sons were killed in the war.

6.The only person who witnessed the Mahabharat war and is still alive is Ashwathama(drona's son).

7.Kauravas had 240570 Elephants, 240570 Chariots, 721710 Horses and 1202850 Foot Soldiers and Pandavas had 153090 Elephants, 153090 Chariots, 459270 Horses and 765450 Foot Soldiers for the kurukshetra war.

8.Duryodhan did not participate in Draupadi's swyamvar because he was already married to Bhanumati, princess of Kalinga, and he had promised her that he would never marry another.
*In some places it's mentioned that Duryodhan did attend Draupadi's Swayamvar.
It's also said that he didn't make any such promise to his wife Banumathi.

9.Duryodhan and few of his siblings name were actually Suyodhan, Sushasan,Sushala....so on... But they were named later like this to suit their bad reputation. This is their misconception.
Actually, in Sanskrit dur means difficult or unconquerable. So his full name means the unconquerable warrior!
