Say Goodbye (A Chris Brown Love Story)

Chapter Seventeen

"Do you like it?"

"Chris, I love it!" I walked into the baby nursery, gazing around at the room. The walls were cream and it had a white crib with a canopy along with a white bedroom suit. Chris had used his new skills to make the nursery, he worked in a warehouse now and also did house work like painting rooms and repairing different things like doors and stuff. I was glad that he was no longer a drug dealer, he had a real job. And he actually made a little more than the amount he made when he was dealing still. We had moved to a brand new house and when I picked the room for the nursery, Chris fixed it up.

"It looks perfect." I said, walking over to him and kissing his cheek. "Now go get cleaned up." He was covered in paint from head to toe.

"Okay." He headed towards the bedroom and I sat down in the rocking chair in the nursery. Our life was going perfectly now, Dani had turned 5 last month and I was finally 6 months along. Chris took his classes during the summer and he was able to get his diploma at the end of July.

"Chris!" I called, remembering my appointment today.

"Yeah?" He walked back into the room with clean clothes on.

"I almost forgot my appointment today, I'm getting an ultrasound."

"When is it?"

"At one. And it's 11:56, so we need to leave at 12:30."

"Okay, I'll go get Dani ready." He walked out the room and I sat back, looking around at the room. Everything was amazing, my little boy or girl was going to have a great life, I just know it.

I went into the bedroom and put on some comfortable clothes to go in, these days, I was all about comfort. The baby was hurting my back but those massages that Chris gave me helped A LOT.

"Baby, you ready to go?" Chris asked as he walked in holding Dani's hand. I nodded and stood up, walking over to them. He took ahold of my hand and we all went out to the car and got in, heading to the doctors office.

"Mimi, is the baby in your tummy a boy or a girl?" Dani asked from the back seat.

"I don't know yet, we're going to find out." I answer.

"You know, Zack at daycare said that the storks deliver the babies to the hospital but I don't believe him. Because obviously, you ate a seed and now the baby is growing in your tummy." We pulled up to a red light and Chris let his head fall on the steering wheel as he started laughing.

"Yes, that's totally what happened." I said, trying not to laugh. I hit Chris in his arm but he just laughed even harder.

"If only she knew." He said, rubbing his eyes as he pulled off.

We drove into the parking lot of the doctors office and parked. Dani literally jumped out the car while Chris was helping me out.

"Is it time for the baby to come out?" Dani asked, hopping around.

"No, not yet." Chris said. "You have to wait 3 more months."

"Aww!" She crossed her arms and followed us inside. Chris let me sit down while he went to the front desk to check me in. I was so tired, I wanted to just fall asleep in the chair. And I believe I did cause I felt Chris shaking me all of a sudden.

"Tired?" He asked me.

"Yeah. I'm so sleepy." I leaned on him and he filled out my paperwork as I went in and out of sleep. After he gave all the papers back, he sat back down and put his arm around me.

"Mariah Jacobs?" I looked up and saw a nurse. I sighed and started to sit up.

"Hold on." Chris stopped me and stood up, slipping his arms under me and picking me up.
