Tempted: A Demetri and Heidi Love Story

Heidi's Pov

I felt my head spin. Did that guy seriously just ask me out? I mean seriously, he was a freaking hot guy. But something about him wasn't right... He had blood red eyes and he was too perfect...

I shook my head. He had said he had a secret, and that I wouldn't believe him if he told me. And that he couldn't tell me...

I guess I'd have to talk to Bella about it. She was just as perfect with pale white skin and dark circles under her eyes. The only difference was the eyes. She had beautiful golden eyes.

And then I thought of Noela. She had practically saved my life. And I hadn't cared at the time she left.

I pulled out my cellphone and went through my contacts and found Noela's number. I pressed call, only to hear it ring and go to voicemail.

I cursed her and called Bella's number. "Bella?" I said when she picked up.

"Oh, Heidi, how are you?" She asked.

"Bella, I met someone and he's like you. He's pale white, but has blood red eyes."

"Stay away from him." She growled into the phone.

"Bella?" I heard Edward's worried voice in the background.

"It's alright Edward, Heidi met one of us but who has those red eyes."

I heard shuffling in the background. And I heard hushed voices, sounding frustrated.

"Heidi?" it was Edward on the other end.

"Yes?"

"What did this person look like?"

"He had blood red eyes, and pale white skin. He said his name was Demetri."

I heard Edward cursing angrily.. "What is it?" Bella asked him nervously. Her voice was quiet.

"She met Demetri. Alice saw this happen, but not that Heidi would meet one of them." He snarled.

"They are coming?" Bella whispered.

"No. Only Jane, Alec, Felix and Demetri."

"Who are they? And what do you mean by 'Alice saw this happen'?" I asked.

"Just some people he travels with sometimes. And it's just something I can't tell you at the moment."

"Edward, put Bella back on the phone."

"Um..."

"Edward I'm done with the lies, and put Bella back on the phone!" I yelled at him.

"Okay."

"Heidi, is something wrong?"

"He is not human. And neither are you." I said quietly.

"Heidi..."

I cut her off. "Bella, tell me what you are. Right now."

"Heidi, I can't."

"Please just tell me."

"You wouldn't believe me."

"Bella, tell me."

"Alright. Edward I have to tell her...yes, I know it's a risk, but Demetri told her enough for her to suspect."

"Put Edward on."

"Yes?"

"Tell me what you are."

"We are not human as you said. We are vampires."

I gasped. Did that mean... was Demetri lying to me for my blood?

"Does Demetri just want to use me for my blood?"

"I'm not sure. But he left you alive, so I'm sure you meant something to him."

"Maybe he was saving me for later..."

"Get over here now. We have to keep you safe."

"I'll be there in an hour."

"An hour?"

"I don't have a car and I'm in Seattle, so I'll have to walk."

"I'm coming to get you." He said.

"How do you know where I am?"

"I'll find you." He laughed, as if there was a private joke I wasn't in on.

The line disconnected. My cousin was a vampire. Her husband was a vampire. Her in laws were vampires. What was Nessie? Was she a vampire too? No. She was probably half.... Or maybe they adopted her... No she resembled them too much. But she was definitely not human.

Great was I the only human in the situation?
