Edolas!Natsu x Reader - Confidence

You were walking happily down the street making your way to Fairy Tail, the guild you belonged to. You usually weren't this happy, but ever since Earthland's Fairy Tail came and saved Edolas, you felt free and alive. No longer having to run away from Erza Nightwalker every day felt great and relaxing. Even though you were sad about the disappearance of magic, you respected king Mystogen's choice.

You arrived at the guild, even happier to see everyone partying and getting along, unlike how they used to. It was really strange to see everyone's opposite self, and to think that in another world Lucy is the nicest person in the world and Juvia is in love with Gray. You chuckled to yourself just remembering the first time you laid eyes on the pair from Earthland.

You sat down at a seat by yourself, being able to relax and not having to fight a war. You exhaled a breath feeling great. You threw your head back, resting it on the back of the chair and closed your eyes, just wanting to hear the happy voices of everyone not their voices in distress.

You closed your eyes for at least a minute before being interrupted by someone tapping you on the shoulder. You opened your eyes and saw the all so innocent Cana above you. You gave her a smile which she returned and sat up straight, getting up from the chair and facing her. "What is it Cana?" You asked.

"Oh Natsu wanted me to tell you to go outside. He said something about talking to you." Cana explained beautifully. You blushed at hearing Natsu wanting to talk to you. You've always had a crush on the pink haired boy. You couldn't even a remember a time when you weren't in love with him. No one knew that you were in love with him because you saw the way Lucy would look at him and always thought that he liked her back, from how much time they spent together.

"Okay Cana. Thank you." You told her walking off to the exit of the guild. The more you thought about it, the more you were confused about why he wanted to see you. You almost never spoke to him, the only time was when he was in his magical car. You shrugged it off realizing you were getting no where with this mystery.

You opened the guild doors and stepped out of the building. You saw a beautiful red car with flames on it in front of you. You smiled as you saw Natsu sitting in the drivers seat. "Hey Natsu! What's up?" You asked, gaining the pinkette's attention.

He turned his head and immediately smiled his beautiful smile, you felt your cheeks getting warm just seeing it. "Oh hey (y/n)!! Look at the new car I got!!" Natsu said very enthusiastically.

"It looks awesome Natsu!!" You told him, but then something hit you. Why would he buy a car if there's no magic to fuel it. Your smile changed into a face of confusion. "Natsu?" You asked.

"Yeah." Natsu replied, wondering where you were going with this. "How are you going to use the car if magic is gone??" You asked. Natsu's smile grew bigger. "Oh some guy figured out that you can use this weird black stinky liquid to fuel it!!" Natsu explained, stepping on one of the petals, making the car groan with power. You giggled at his enthusiasm.

You hear the guild doors open and turn around to see Mira Jane standing there. "Hey Mira." You say giving her a smile and a wave. Mira waves back and says, "Hey (y/n). Yesterday you said you wanted to help with the cafe and bar. Today is the day you start. We need you right now." Mira told you and you nodded.

"Okay Mira." You said and turned back to Natsu. "Is there anything else you wanted to tell me?? Mira needs me," You asked. "Yeah, just one thing." Natsu told you. You nodded your head and waited for Natsu to speak.

"So (y/n), I was wondering if you would like to go on a date with me?" Natsu asked, staring straight into your eyes. You froze and didn't know what to do. Once you realized that you haven't replied and this situation was becoming more awkward by the minute you smiled at him with a blush on your cheeks. "Yes, I would love to." You told Natsu, earning a goofy smile from him. "Great. I'll pick you up here tonight." Natsu told you, stepping his foot on the petal and driving away.
