"Grandfather?"

"Yes, that man" she said like it was curse.

"How is he involved in all this?"

"That night when I about to give birth to you, it was him! He tried to kill you and me--"

"Kill us? but why?"

"He never wanted me to give birth to child, he was evil so evil, until he was dead he didn't even let Omar take throne. He never let him take his own decisions. Omar was always lonely and did as his father said. No question only following his orders like his puppet until he met me it was the first time he took a step against him. I even was royal pure blood so there was not any reason to say no for our marriage but he tried in every way so that we couldn't get through it. Have you heard love has power to override everything,it does, we were in love, truly and madly. He wanted me and that was when he started to get courage to talk against his father, the King. We took matter to court so they could help us. It was the council that time almost kind of forced his father to let us marry even my father was powerful and member of council too so we got married."

"I don't understand, why he tried killing you I mean us?" I said after grasping the information.

"We got married and we were happy we found out that I could not conceive his child, he never complained though, cause we aren't mates as you know. After a century of togetherness and our true love. I was pregnant. We were so happy. That's when he found out-" she took a pause taking a deep breath "Found out about prophecy--"

"What prophecy?" I blurted in between.

"Prophecy of his death. The reason for his end of life. It was me and my child was reason of his death. After knowing this how could he let us live? We tried convincing him that I'm not going to do anything and how my newborn baby could do any bad. We tried assuring him, it was of no use. He then kidnapped me and tried killing but before he could have done anything he was caught by Omar and he put him in dungeons. Still he managed to return before your birth when it was about time. He killed us almost and Omar thought we are going to die, so he gone mad and everything inside build in him for his father made him to kill. Then he took us to Ben's mom cause he knew she's the one who can at least try. She saved us with all her magic and powers she had possessed risking her life on one condition, she knew its baby girl inside me. Condition was that you will be married to her son and your dad accepted it without thinking, either he had no choice. Our life was important that time. Ben's dad even knew that he killed his father and if this news got spread then kingdom would have never trusted Omar. So he agreed to save us, to save kingdom from fall. This how we were reason of his death" Her blue eyes were now little glassy, she blinked the tears away.

"You didn't knew all this, about dad killing and everything..?"

"No I even didn't knew he was one who tried killing me second time, I thought he was dungeons and after this I was in dead bed. Omar never told me not even about killing his father, I have found all this last night."

"That is why I can do magic, otherwise who vampire can do magic after drinking witch's blood", suddenly this clicked in my mind and everything actually made sense.

She didn't seem to listen to me as she continued, "you know sweetie he was so gentle and caring back then, after that he became little cold and with the passage of time he's got more cold hearted!"
