Chapter 20

The finale, it's going to be a boring chapter btw XD but I hope everyone that ever read this FanFiction enjoys it! Thank you for reading, and making writing it fun, and amazing.  Thank you all for supporting my writing.  If you look at the prologue and then this chapter, you can see the improvement! Eagletail flicked open his eyes, yawning, he stretched his legs, and winced.  He looked at his stomach, it was wrapped in cobwebs, and a thick poultice spread on all his wounds.  His legs was in a large pain, it was covered with blood, soaking his black fur.  He looked at the den, the almost sliver rock was glittering with the sun reflecting off the dew.   The herbs on the shelf were coated with fresh dew.  He could smell the tang of the herbs, stinging his nostrils.  He looked for the medicine cat or medicine cat apprentice.  Both were awake, in the corner of the cave. They were sharing a mouse, large and juicy.  They both seemed to be enjoying it.  He looked at the pool of water in front of him.  He was thirsty, his mouth and tongue dry.  He placed his paws in the pool, and started to drink.
Feathertalon jerked her head to Eagletail.  "Eagleta- Eaglestar, the clan is awake, shall we do the ceremony?" The medicine cat, calmly.
"Of course" Eagletail mewed, stopping his drink.
"You climb up first, it will be your den, you'll have to get used to it" Feathertalon offered.
"Okay! Thanks!" Eagletail purred.
Eagletail limped out of the medicine cave, he looked at the huge Oak Tree.  That's mine! He thought.  He quickened his pace, still limping.  He looked at the trunk of the tree.  He dug his nail into the rouge bark, and started to pull himself up, and quickly leaped to a large branch to his left.  The brittle bark, almost collasped beneath his paws, but his kept moving, stopping himself for falling.  He reached the top, Stonestar's old nest... He looked at the old leaders nest.  It's been pasted down from Cloudstar, to Russetstar, to Jaggedstar, to Icestar, to Flowerstar, to Lionstar, to Flamestar, to Barkstar, to Clawstar, to Windstar, to Stonestar. And now, to me... He stared at the nest in awe. 
"All cats old enough o climb, gather around the Tall Oak!" Eagletail called, as he saw the white fur and Amber eyes of Feathertalon reach the highest branch.
Eagletail watched as the clan gathered around him, underneath him.  "First of all, as leader, I must choose a deputy, the only cat I know is fit to be my deputy, with amazing leadership skills, I choose Mintheart to be my deputy. I know he is young.  I know he doesn't have an apprentice.  But he showed leadership through his journey through the mountains, and even though he is disabled, he will be a prefect leader one day!"
"Mintheart! Mintheart! Mintheart!" The clan chanted.
Mintheart shyly smiled towards Eagletail, his eyes showed he was grateful, and happy.
"Feathertalon, it's your turn to speak!" Eagletail mewed.
Feathertalon looked at the clan.  "My fellow clanmates, I know you a frightened we have had no leader for so long, Stonestar was a fake, he was cruel, he broke the code, he killed our friends and families, but we must keep going! As long as StarClan is by our side, the clan will keep moving forward! We are all brave, and we will fight whatever burdens that lay in our way! With Eaglestar as our leader, everyone will benefit, he shows all the viruses to be successful, he acts as WindStar did, he is humble.  He will be the new leader of CloudClan, with Mintheart at his side, bravely, and together, we will all stop any dark press that lays ahead!" Feathertalon called.
"Eaglestar! Eaglestar! Eaglestar!" The clan shouted.
"Now, me and our new leader, shall travel to the Hallow Oak, for him to receive his 9 lives!" Feathertalon announced.
"Mintheart, and Treepaw.  You will be in charge of the clan.   Mintheart will make hunting, and border patorls, and watch the clan.  Treepaw, you will mend anyone's wounds, or sicknesses!" Eagletail added.

They arrived at the Hallow Oak, a long journey.  Treepaw had to stay back, and watch the queen, and kits, with Lightkit having kitten cough.  Feathertalon was sad, but in a half moon she would see the Hallow Oak.  The cold, night air, filled Eaglestar's nostrils as they arrived, looking at the ragged barked, oak tree.
"Climb in the largest hole..." Feathertalon said, her calm voice soothing Eagletail from his stress.
Eagletail obeyed the medicine cat, leaping into the largest hole in the tree.
Feathertalon climbed to the hole above him, it was much smaller.
"Now close your eyes, looking towards the moon, and fall asleep" Feathertalon instructed.
Eagletail nodded, although Feathertalon, being above him, couldn't see.
Eagletail looked at the moon, and closed his eyes.  He slowly drifted into a deep sleep.  He woke up, but he wasn't in the small area of the inclosed hole in the tree,  he was in a large forest. 
He looked around amazed,  Medicine cats come here every half moon! It must be amazing! He thought.
A sleek ginger patched white Tom padded up to him.
"Lightwind! It's great to see you again! You've always been like a father to me, although you're a medicine cat" Eagletail purred.
"Eaglestar, it's nice to see you as well.  And Today, I give you a life of caring, use it well when a cat is in need, when they need someone to help them through the journey of life." Lightwind mewed.
"I-I will Lightwind! I promise!" Eagletail vowed.
"I believe you" Lightwind padded away.
A white and gray she-cat with thick fur, and glowing forest green eyes, beaming at Eagletail padded to him.
"Grasstail! Can you hear me?" Eagletail asked his mother.
"Of course, this is StarClan, I've been healed of my sight and hearing problems. Now, son, I giver you a life of trust, use it when it matters." The old she-cat rasped.
"I will Grasstail! I always will!" Eagletail purred.
Grasstail dipped his head, and she padded away.
A black Tom padded to him, with glowing Amber eyes. "Shadowclaw! I've missed you! It was hard with you leaving when I was just a kit... Dying of old age... I haven't seen you in so long!" Eagletail purred
Shadowclaw dipped his head. And touched Eagletails's nose. "I give you the life wisdom, use it to guide the clan to make the right choices" he rasped.
Eagletail purred, "Thank you"
Shadowclaw flicked his tail and padded away.
A pitch white Tom with strong, muscular legs, and fiery Amber eyes. "I'm Cloud, you don't know me, but I started CloudClan. I have only gave a leader a life once before, you are my only other cat I will give a life to. I'm your distant kin. I would like to give you the life of friendship, make sure you have allies, with SnowClan, and make sure you have friends in your clan. You are a cat, not just leader, you need friends"
"Thank you, Cloud." Eagletail mewed calmly. I met Cloud! Why would he give me a life? I'm just a regular leader? Right? Eagletail wondered.
A brown tabby small  she-cat with blue eyes padded to Eagletail.  "Eaglestar, I am giving you the life of mercy, do not kill any cat, give the, mercy, if they accept, unlike Stoneclaw. Please, forgive all cats that do the wrong thing." The cat said mewed,
"Brookpaw! Thank you!" Eagletail purred.
A very small cream she-cat with a darker mussel padded up to him.
"Softpaw! Hello!" Eagletail purred.
"Hi Eagletail! I give you a life of enthusiasm but all you have into everything you do, and enjoy life." Softpaw mewed.
"I will, Softpaw." He promised.
A brown tabby with a ragged, crazy pelt padded to Eagletail. "Eaglestar, I give you a life of courage, use it wisely, when your clan needs you. You will be a great leader, just like WindStar." He mewed.
"Thank you, Wildpelt. You have always been like a father to me." Eagletail purred.
Wildpelt dipped his head.
A white-and-grey she-cat padded up to him, her blue eyes warm. "Windstar!" Eagletail exclaimed.
"Eaglestar, you've always been like my kit, I should have choose you as my deputy, instead of Stoneclaw. I give you the life of honesty, never lie, your clan needs to be run by a strong leader, that tells them all that has happened." WindStar purred.
"I promise, I will" Eagletail dipped his head.
Finally, a white tabby she-cat with bright blue eyes padded up to him. "Cloudshine!" Eagletail purred. "Boy, have I missed you! I'm so glad you're here!"
Cloudshine smiled. "You are a great Tom Eagletail, From this moment forward, you will be known as Eaglestar! You will lead CloudClan greatly! I am sorry, I can't be you're mate anymore, I am gone, and you must except it, other she-cats love you, you will find hope in them. Do you remember my last words?" Cloudshine asked.
"Umm... They were... Hope? Next? Songbird? Three? Right?" Eaglestar mewed.
"Yes.  Think about it.  Now, Eaglestar, I give you the life of love.  Remember to live your kin, and all your clanmates, find another mate, I will be waiting here, guiding your way.  Love is the key.  Love all cats, and they will do the same.  Eaglestar, you will be a great a leader.  Please, cherish these lives." All the cats that gave him a life looked at him.
"Eaglestar! Eaglestar! Eaglestar!" They chanted.
Eaglestar smiled, as he flicked open his eyes.
Feathertalon was on the ground, the looked at Eaglestar.  "Welcome, Eaglestar!" She purred.

"The end!" Eaglestar purred, as he looked at the crowd of kits in front of him.  "Now go back to your mothers.  It's getting dark.  They'll be worried.  I hope you all enjoyed that old story, of the mean Stonestar,"
"We did!" The kits hollered.
"Okay" Eaglestar laughed. "Get to your nest,"
The kits pounced at each, making there way to the nursery.
