When I finally woke up, the sun had fully risen above the clouds. The motel door was ajar, from me kicking in open or so I'd hoped. I immediately jumped to attention, and scanned the room, searching for any signs of life. When I didn't find anything, I sat back down on the bed with a sigh.

Now fully awake, I checked the clock on the bed side table, 7:38. My bus leaves at 8. "Damn." I muttered.

I swiftly packed up all my stuff including all my newly acquired cash.

When I was finally sure I had gotten everything, I left the hotel room and went to catch my bus.

***

I stood the line to get on the bus with my hood up, I usually didn't want to look so suspicious. However due to the accident from last night I didn't want to take any chances.

As I stepped on the bus and handed the driver my ticket to Seattle, I caught a glance of the ticket station, and noticed someone buying a ticket and then once finished buying said ticket walk towards the Seattle bus.

I cocked my head and tried to get a better look at the figure it was most likely a guy due to his long lean figure, but before I could get a good look, I was pushed onto the bus by other passengers and into a seat towards the front of the long vehicle.

My heart thudded in my chest as I watched the guy get on the bus, he had his hood up as well, so I couldn't see his face from my angle. 'Please don't let it be the teenager from last night' I plead in my mind.

He got on the bus. I craned my neck to get a better look at the figure when he got to my section the bus. Unfortunately, his hood faced away from me so I was unable to tell who it was.

I sat on the bus questioning the possibilities of it actually being the kid. I mean how could he know what bus I was suppose to get on. It literally impossible. Right?

I sunk down into the uncomfortable chairs of bus and held my head in my hands,

'I really fucked up this time didn't I?' I thought to myself.

The only other time I messed up this bad is the day my parents died.

I sighed and sunk down even further into the long bus seat.

I ran my hands through my dyed hair and wondered what the next color should be. Maybe I could be a blonde, or even a redhead.

I then was pulled from my thoughts as the bus hit a bump in the road.

I was lifted from the seat as the bus was in midair. Then came crashing down a landed with a crash, metal hitting pavement.

I jolted forward as I fell back towards Earth and my seat, giving my ass a bad bruise. I instinctively grabbed my bag and held it close to my chest.

The bus fell to side as it touch the ground on only two wheels.

Fortunately, I got lucky. I wasn't on side that hit the ground. I was currently gripping on to a open window for dear life. Glad I open it before all this happened. I used all the upper body strength I could but I still couldn't manage to pull myself through the small opening.

I heard other passengers weeping, pleading to God to let them see another day. I huffed as I dangled in mid air, and tried to glance down at the damage the bus crash caused.

Alot of people who still remained alive were clinging on to various parts of the bus not touching the floor. Most of the riders who had those bus seats close to the that side of the bus were laying around, their head cracked against windows and other hard objects which includes fragments of glass and metal from the bus's frame.

I kept holding on knowing that if I fell, it was probably to my death because down there where I'd fall was littered with sharp chunks of metal.

I grunted as I continued to try to lift myself up. I couldn't do and ended up falling back to my original spot. I still had my pack on back and that was most likely holding me back but I couldn't let it go. It was the only thing I had left.

I bounced up and down getting ready to sling myself through the window, I push myself up halfway, only to feel a hand grip my arms and heave me the rest of the way up.

I felt my body (along with my pack) move through the tight crevice until I tasted the fresh air. I took in a deep breath, and slowly released it trying to get my heart rate back to normal.

I had moved away from the window, not wanting to hear the 'pleas to God' a minute longer. That's when I finally turned to my savior.

"You?...." I whispered to the green eyed teenager from last night, I fucking knew I should have been more careful, I thought to myself.

He gave me shy smile, as he said the word ,"Me..."

I gave him a sour look, then felt the bus rock from underneath me.

I cursed.

"Shit.", The guy said as we heard screams sound from inside the flipped bus.

I shouldered my backpack as I walked to the edge of the bus and peered over the side. 'Not to far of a fall' I thought, 'I could walk away from that'.

That's when I heard the guy behind me call out, "Hey, what are you doing? We need to help these other people get out, before the bus completely crushes them!"

I turn to face the guy and give him a small smirk before stating "Not my problem."

His sea green eyes widened as he watches me abruptly jump from the bus and on to the hard concrete below. I felt a small stinging and ache as my feet hit the ground, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.

The bus rocked at the sudden loss of my weight, "Hey!" The 19 year old looking guy called from above me, "Wait for me!". Soon after he jumped from the bus.

It rocked again, the sobbing inside was soon heard again, but it didn't last long because once again the bus did a flip. And another. And another.
It was silent after that and I assumed that there were no longer any living people inside the bus.

"Holy Shit."
