Two days later, Aaron and I stood in times square listening to the bustling sounds of the city.

Aaron looked around in wonder at all the city lights, while I was becoming more and more annoyed at the enormous bunches of tourists, worker bees, and hoboes.

Aaron had gotten (to my distaste) a disposable camera and was taking pictures all around him like a complete loser.

"Oi! Can we go to the statue of liberty next?!" Aaron exclaimed suddenly.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." I replied absent mindedly.

His face lit up like a kid in a candy store.

"Come on, let's go!" He exclaimed again, taking my hand and pulling me through the pools of citizens.

We'd gotten to New York really early in the morning and so I wasn't able to get any breakfast.

Walking towards downtown Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty, I felt my stomach rumble.

"Aaron!!" I complained, "I am hungry! Get me food!"

He groaned but then I heard his own stomach growl in need of food.

"Fine." He moaned, "Next food place we see, OK?"

"Okay!" I happily agreed.

We walked for a few minutes before finally stumbling across a small coffee shop.

When we walked inside, I noticed it was quite dingy with only a couple of booths and tables but I was so hungry I didn't care.

We sat down at a table and Aaron started looking through some of the photos of the empire state building and time square he'd taken.

A waitress came over and I ordered a coffee and bagel, Aaron ordered a cup of tea and a fluffy pastry.

There wasn't many other people in the cafe, however a couple at a booth caught my attention.

It was a rather young girl and a middle aged guy in a black suit.

I furrowed my eyebrows and strained to hear bits of the conversation.

Something about a Micheals and a.....what was it.... A locket?

The conversation was really weird. Oh well.

I turned my attention to see our orders coming as soon as the odd couple, the man gripping the young girl's, arm, leave the coffee shop.

"Yo, Earth to Jordan, come in commander Jordan." Said a pissed Aaron.

"Eat your food so we have more time to see the Statue of Liberty!"

I picked up my cup and started to drink.

Aaron had already finished his pastry and was half way done with his tea.
He stared at me with distain.

"Eat faster!"

I rolled my eyes and set down my drink. I grabbed my bagel and took a bite, savoring every favor of the very plain breakfast.

Aaron glared at me.

I smiled evilly at him with chunky cheeks stuffed with bread.

"Hey, why'd you want to come to New York city and see all the tourist spots so badly?"
