When the children where out of the throne room and now in the hall Azula rounded on Zuko and started teasing him.

"Oh Zuzu that was so adorable, you couldn't even throw that kick correctly!" She said while laughing.

 "DON'T CALL ME THAT!"

"Oh come on Ylva calls you that all the time!"

" Yes I do, in a very NON-SARCASTIC-NICE way," Ylva retorted, Glaring at Azula "I also don't make fun of him for it AZULA."

"Don't say my name like that!" Azula snapped at her.

"Oh i'm sorry did I say that SARCASTICALLY! Well how do you like it when I do it?" Ylva responded.

   "I hate it."

"Then stop picking on Zuko because I know he doesn't like it either, do you Zuko?" Ylva asked looking  at Zuko.

"No not really." He said looking really uncomfortable.

"But he still did throw a horrible kick." Azula stated in a matter-of-fact voice.

"So what? He messed up big deal, That just means he's human and unless you forgot, that kick and entire routine was much better than the LAST time he tried, when Grandpa was still alive." Ylva said, standing up for the poor boy.

  "But it was still horrible."

"But he didn't give up, now did he? NO, so shut up and leave him alone. He is not a quitter. Unlike you who passes off her problems to someone else. And when he fails he strives to improve. Thats more than you could possibly ever do, even if your routine is 'Perfect'. Come on Zuko" Ylva said grabbing Zuko's hand and walking off leaving a very dumbstruck and raging Azula behind.

Ylva was leading Zuko outside, when she bumped into something  and fell back into Zuko. They looked up to a short, fat, jolly man looking down at them.

"Hello Uncle Iroh." Ylva said timidly.

"Well hello there Princess Ylva, why so shy all of a sudden? From what I just heard I now have proof that you aren't as shy as you always appear." Iroh said with a kind smile on his face.

"You heard all that!" Ylva asked horrified.

"Well with how loud you and Azula were going at it, I would be surprised if the whole castle didn't here you." Iroh said jokingly watching the color drain from Ylva's face in a less than 3 seconds. He laughed.

"Oh, I was joking. I only heard it because I was right here and stopped when I heard you speak up. Your a brave girl, i'll give you that much. You have to be otherwise your insane, standing up to Azula like that."

"More insane than brave if you ask me." Zuko said still in a state of shock of what the Ylva did a couple of minutes ago.

"Well to be quite honest I wasn't really thinking," She said scratching the back of her head, "I'm SO going to regret that later."

"Ah well, what's done is done. Now what are up two up to?"

"We were going outside, for a walk." Ylva told the old man.

"Do you mind if I join you?"

"No, not at all." She said, while beginning to walk towards the outdoors again next to Iroh and Zuko.

"Happy birthday by the way Ylva, that was a very pretty song you played earlier. Where did you learn it from." Iroh asked the young girl.

"My birth mother used to sing it to me on my birthday during bed time. She would always say that it was a reminder of how I would live on to another year, safe and sound." Ylva replied.

"Well of course you would why wouldn't you?" Zuko said confused.

"Umm there was incident when I was born, and thats all I wish to say about it." She replied clearly uncomfortable.

"Understandable,  well this has been a pleasant walk but it is sunset now we should go back inside, Princess Ylva, Prince Zuko."Iroh said before guiding the kids back to the palace.

In the Southern water tribe a another little girl started humming the very same song that Ylva had played on the flute while lying in her animal pelt bed, before crying and wishing her mother was still alive.
