Chapter 3

  A/N: So I decided to come back and change the ending of this chapter a bit because I have a different idea on how I want it to go and I kinda want her fire-bending to be a secret to everyone at the palace for now, but don't worry thy'll found out later in a much more exciting way and this is the only chapter i'm changing. Enjoy!

 6 years later.

  It was noon and the sun was out. The only noises were from the wind in the leaves and the animals playing tag. There was also the sound of music as a young girl with long chocolate brown hair and ice blue eyes played a song on her wooden flute, under a tree that was sitting next to a pond. 

   It was the young girls birthday and she was turning 11. The song she was playing was a song that her mother used to sing to her every year right after the birthday feast that she shared with her sister.

  She had just finished playing the song, when she heard footsteps behind her. She turned around around to see another girl a little younger than her, with long dark hair pulled up into a bun and golden eyes, walk towards her.

 "Father wishes to see us, and demands we be up there in 15 minutes." The golden eyed girl said before turning back around and walking back the way she came. Leaving the other girl to stand up and walk back to the palace herself. 

   The girl finally made it inside, and went to her room where she dressed into her best outfit. A red dress that came to her knees in the front and went to her ankles in the back, it had a blue swirly pattern near the bottom and was lined with silver on the sleeves, her shoes were just simple red flats with a blue lining, and went to the thrown room to see what her father needed.

  When the girl entered the room the younger girl was already there waiting and looking bored while sitting down on the side, waiting for the older girl and their brother. The room was a large room with pillars scattered in a couple of rows  on both sides of the door leading to a wall of fire which their father sat behind.

  The older girl went to the middle of the room bowed to her father and joined the younger girl to wait for the brother. A few minutes later a boy slightly older than both of the girls entered and bowed to his father before joining the girls and sitting down next to them. The boy looked much like the youngest girl, with gold eyes and dark hair that was medium in length and  pulled into a high ponytail. 

 "Good now that you are all here, We can start. I want to see what you have been learning with your bending  skills." The father said to his children. "Azula you first." He said to the youngest of the three. 

  The young girl with gold eyes, now named Azula, stood up and went to the middle of the room she then did a complex fire bending combo, containing jumps, kicks, and punches. The young girl even threw in a couple of flips to show her father what she was learning in her fire-bending. Her father smiled and nodded in approval. 

  When Azula finished she did a small bow to her father and went to sit back down. As soon she sat down the boy stood up and tried to replicate the girls routine but failed miserably at it. 

 "Sit down Zuko!" The father spat at the boy in disgust, Zuko sat back down defeated. And the second girl comforted him with a small pat on the back before she finally stood up, and went to the middle of the room. She took a small deep breath before she began, and then immediately began doing a routine she had practiced quite a lot prior to the test.  

  She started off by waving her hands in a circle in front of her collecting some water that was in the air and started doing a dance while moving the tiny amount water of water that she had. During her bending dance she slowly gathered more and more water from the air until she had a steady stream of water, she then took the water and tossed it into the air in tiny sections. When all the water was in the air she froze them so they made tiny ice balls and, grabbed a bow and arrows that she had grabbed just in case of something like this, and starting shooting the ice balls until they were all shattered and evaporated. when she finished she did a small bow and went to sit back down. 

" Very good Ylva. Ursa was right in adopting you, you have proven yourself very capable. To bad she isn't around to see your accomplishments." Ozai said to the girl. "You are all dismissed." Ozai said to his children. And the children exited without saying a word.

A/N: So ya. Ylva now lives with Zuko, Azula, and Ozai. And you have no idea how that has happened and you WON'T know until much later =P Hee hee, LOVE YOU GUYS! Also song up top is Safe and Sound (LOVE THIS SONG!)by Taylor swift, although its a flute cover, I found it on youtube. Anyway how did I do describing the um "test" it was pretty hard for me to put into words and I feel like this chapter is crap but i'm still posting it anyways so. BYE SEE YOU NEXT CHAPTER!
