Falling For Madness

Chapter 3

Maddie's POV

We got home around 12:30 and Ana and I were exhausted. I really needed to tell her what happened with Ross, but maybe it could wait until the morning.

I know I told Ross I wasn't going to say anything, but she's my best friend. We don't keep secrets from each other. Especially ones this big.

We went upstairs and changed into our pajamas and took off our makeup. Ana grabbed a blanket and slept on my couch in my room. I crawled into bed and thought about my perfect night.

Ross's POV

After the concert we headed back to our hotel. We had to wake up early the next morning to catch our flight back to L.A. because I have Austin and Ally rehearsals tomorrow.

I wish I could stay maybe just one more day here in Chicago. I want to see this girl Maddie again. This is like a once in a lifetime thing. Never have I stopped in the middle of a concert just so I could talk to a girl. But it happened and I just couldn't let her get away.

Rydel leaned over to me while we were driving back to the hotel and asked, "Are you sure you're feeling okay?"

"Yeah, I'm alright." I told her. I don't even know if I should tell my family about this girl. They're just going to get mad over me stopping the concert for it.

"That was kind of a dick move, stopping the concert and all." Rocky mentioned under his breathe.

"Look man I'm sorry." I snapped back, he was right though. "I just needed a moment."

"But the thing is, you didn't look sick Ross... " Riker started.

I just shook my head and butted in. "Alright I wasn't sick, you guys fucking done now?" I responded sarcastically.

"Then why did you leave?" Rocky asked.

I sighed, I really just needed to tell them. I stared out the window, not making eye contact with anyone. "I saw a girl in the crowd and it looked like she was leaving and I just had to follow her I couldn't help it."

Then it was almost silent. No one had really anything to say.

Riker chimed, "I would have done the same thing if I saw a hot girl out there." He smirked, punching my arm, letting me know that he wasn't mad.

"Well did you find her?" Ratliff asked. I didn't even know he was even paying attention to the conversation.

"Yeah, what's her name? What does she look like?" Rydel questioned, seeming really excited.

I sighed, remembering how pretty she really was. "Yeah I found her. Her name's Maddie. She's fine as hell."

Everyone laughed at that comment.

"But forreal she's gorgeous. She had this long dark hair and hazel eyes. And her smile was so white and perfect.."

"Damn, she sounds like a dime." Rocky added.

Then Riker asked, "So did you get her number or what?"

I laughed, "You guys really underestimate, me don't you? Of course I got her fucking number."

They all laughed again. And I thought back to how nervous I was when I kissed her. And how I probably looked so stupid.

"Awww are you going to text her? Or Skype her?" Rydel asked.

"Guys, I don't know. Maybe she doesn't even like me. She lives here, it so far away from L.A. I don't even know if it's going to work.." I told them, with disappointment in my voice. I wanted her so badly.

I laughed, "I don't even know how old she is!"

The guys started laughing again.

Rocky said, "Dude you didn't even ask her how old she was? She could be 12."

The laughter settled down once more and El joined the conversation again, "Dude, if she's really special, she'll stick around. Even with the distance between you two."

He should be the one to know, he's the only one that had a real girlfriend.

"Well thanks guys for the support.. And sorry for running off in the middle of the concert. I just could let her go."

"Nah man, it's cool, just warn us next time you try to do some stupid shit like that." Riker assured me.

I looked down at my hands and mumbled, "I really don't think there's going to be a next time."

We arrived at the hotel and everyone passed out in our beds. We had to wake up early as hell to get to the airport the next morning. Our flight left 6:30am and it's about a 4 hour flight to Los Angeles.

Mom's alarm went off at 3:30am for everyone to start waking up. And personally, I like my sleep. And this isn't cool, at all. We packed up any last minute items and then we headed to the airport.

We took off right at 6:30 and it was just starting to get light out. I put on my headphones and went right back to sleep.

Maddie's POV

I woke up around 10:30am and I still wanted to sleep. I looked over to see Ana wide awake sitting on her phone.

"Hey sleeping beauty, you're finally awake." She said to me.

I made a noise letting her know that I was still tired.

I reached over to check my phone and I had a text.

From: unknown number

"Goodmorning gorgeous. I hope you had a fun night and you had a good night sleep! Text me when you can!"

It had to have been from Ross. I giggled and was smiling like an idiot.

"Why are you laughing?" Ana asked me.

I sat up and sighed, "I have something to tell you."

"What's up?" She asked, seeming confused.

"When I went to the bathroom yesterday at the concert, I ran into Ross. And we talked and he kinda sorta kissed me... And gave me his number."

"Yeah, and I fucked Rocky in front of everyone while you were gone," She laughed and then looked at me like I was making this up. Then she noticed I wasn't laughing and just glared at me.

I told her, "I'm being serious Ana."

She looked distant. I didn't know if she was going to yell at me or start crying. All I know is, she didn't look happy for me.

Before she could say anything I added frantically, "I know Ross is your favorite person in the band, and I'm so sorry. It just happened. But I was kind of wanting you to be happy for me. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity. I'm sorry if you're upset Ana. Really, I am."

She just looked at me and then her phone vibrated.

"My moms here to pick me up. I'll see ya later." She said as she pack her stuff into her bag. She swung her bag onto her shoulder, grabbed her pillow and left.

I really hope I didn't just loose my best friend over some boy.
