Tick tock hear the clock
My eyes are wide open
Nighttime is the time
But my eyelids yet to twitch
Letters marking time
Rather than the clock
Clap, they got it right
When will I go up?
Silence fills the room
As I strain my mind
How does it start with u
But sound like an a
Sobbing, no rhythm
Crying, leave the room
Tear lines on my face
I have met my doom
Music playing loud
Hanging all alone
Dictionary out
Opened to the front
My eyes scan each page
Taking in it all
Next year, that's the day
I will win it all
Waiting, why so hard
To wait a year to pass
Patience is the mark
Of spelling success
Drum beat playing loud
And filling the room
Look at you right now
You look really cute
I think I like you
It's the way you smile
Helping me out now
You're amazing too
Time passes quicker
But it never ends
Tick tock on the clock
It begins again
