You were perfect, so I thought

But it turns out I was wrong

You had the looks that I sought

But you were mean all along

You spared me not a single glance

But I just sort of didn't care

You had me in a sort of trance

I stood upon what wasn't there

Now it's gone all wrong

I've lost the hope there is

You were such a jerk all along

I just have to say this

I thank my nonexistent love

If it was there, I'd still love you
