Chapter 27: Nothing Much Going On Here

Lily sat, waiting. Waiting for anyone. After leaving the family meal, Lily returned to base, bored. Nobody to battle, nobody to beat. Was that all she was now? Some sort of crazy assasin who always wants to kill?
"Lily, we need your help," Cassie said, walking over to Lily, sat in the training dojo.
"He's out," Cassie said, waking Lily out of her dream like state. Lily didn't need to ask, she already knew who. Shao Kahn. How did he get out? He was locked up, with basically a million guards, how? Cassie grabbed Lily's arm, and ran out towards the open clearing of the base. Lily spotted Kara, Harley, Kano and Kira. Also, Kitana, Skarlet, Crimson and Sonya were out. Takeda and Jacqui. Jin and Robyn. Max and Kenshi. Everyone, how had Lily missed this? Lily felt a tap on the back, she span around as was uppercutted right in the chin. As Lily got up, she saw the culprit, Kara. She began to giggle.
"Shall I carve your face off first?" Kara asked, dancing about.
"My fans will carve yours off first," Lily challenged, swishing her fans about.
"I'm not scared of fans," Kara said, getting into a fighting stance.
'You'll learn' Lily thought. Kara's light blonde (obviously bleached) hair, with pink tips, blew through the air. Wispy and slow. Distractions, Lily thought. She couldn't be surprised again. Lily began to fight, throwing a fan at Kara. She dodged it and ball rolled through the air.
"Learnt that off of my Dad," Kara said, boastingly. Lily didn't listen, she just shot Kara's legs and threw a fan at her back, pushing her into a crawling position. Lily took her chance, and began her x-ray. She ran up Kara's back, hearing her spine crack, and pushed her back, with her bladed heel, breaking her upper neck. Lily laughed.
"Learnt that from myself," Lily bragged, jokingly. Kara didn't laugh, she scowled, for the first time ever. Kara quickly teleported away, as Lily was about to continue fighting.

"All of you, bow before me," Shao Kahn commanded, all of SF shaking their head. Lily felt someone push her to the ground. Kara giggled behind her. "Myself taught me that," Kara said, giggling more. Lily didn't laugh. She didn't smile. She didn't bow. She just lay. Layed there waiting again. Trying to create tension. Next to her Cassie whispered. "Fight again, yeah? 3...2...1," Lily nodded. When 1 had passed, Lily flipped up and punched Kara in the face knocking her unconscious. Harley approached Lily.
"Not my sister you bitch," Harley shrieked.
"You too?" Lily asked.
"To kill you, of course," Harley said, laughing. A sickening laugh, the same as Kara. Lily threw a sai at Harley, and kicked her, repeating a combo again. And again. And again. She froze Harley and uppercutted her, knocking her unconscious too. Lily looked around, another opponent? Nope, not yet.
"Retreat." Shao Kahn demanded, disappearing off to terrorise somebody else. Sonya panicked.
"SOMEBODY GET SHAO!" She ordered, but as she shouted, Shao disappeared off into nothingness.
