Four Years Later***

'Rose, come on time to get up'  Jason gently rocked my shoulder, I hummed a sleepily reply.

'come on, we gotta keep moving, you know we cant stay in one place for to long'

I opened my eyes to see his dark green eyes staring down at me, he smiled when he seen my eyes were open.

' fine, fine, I'm up' I stated, he held out his hand to me and I placed mine in his, he stood up and pulled me up with him.

I quickly glanced around, gathering my surroundings, ahh yes of course the woods, where else would I be, certainly not sleeping in a nice warm comfy bed, I haven't done that for over four years now ever since that dreaded day. the thoughts of what happened that day came rushing back. My dads death, my mom and brother...

I don't even know what happened to them, I never seen them die, yet I haven't managed to find them either, shortly after it happened, me and Jason returned to the pack house to find it completely empty, the dead bodies still on the floor, we buried them all, it wouldn't be right if we just left them there to rot. The pack house that was once a place I found comfort in was now a complete wreck, they had trashed it. It didn't look like a place that once was a home to so many people, no , it now looked like a run down building that hasn't been occupied for years.

A couple of weeks after it happened me and Jase started looking for my mom, or any other pack members that we could find. we tried picking up there sent but it was so faint it just kept leading us to dead ends.

some of the rogues that attacked our pack survived, as they had tried chasing after us, at first it was hard to get away, so Jason would have to fight, but a year ago when I turned 16 I finally got my wolf. Jase has taught me to fight, so I could defend myself  whenever he ran into trouble, which was most of the time.

currently we were walking through the woods, looking for food, it had been four days since we've last eaten, the longest we had gone was a week but it takes a toll on our body. After having to do the same thing for a long time you kinda get used to it, but it didn't make the situation any better.

I looked over at Jase he seemed to be heavy in thought, he had been the one protecting me for the last four years, he was the only person I trusted, I had no one else, he was my only family, the only person I had left.

'Jase' he looked over at me with a confused look on his face

'yes?' he replied

'How much further?' I asked. I know he didn't know the answer but it was tired and weak and walking was extremely tiring, especially in our human form. somehow picking up on this Jase told me to shift.

so I did. I went behind a tree, quickly undressed and changed into my wolf, the sound of bones snapping informed me that Jason had also turned in to his wolf , I walked out from behind the tree to be met by Jase's medium sized Dark brown Wolf, his wolf was bigger than mine which was usual, considering the males usually were. my wolf was A sandy colour, with different colours of light brown running through it. While in our wolf form we could run faster and not get tired.

'Okay lets go'  Jase said through the mind link, I nodded my head in response as we took off into the woods.
