I really hoped I wouldn't have to tell mom about me being bi tomorrow. I wanted to tell her already. I looked over at the clock, which read 6:30. My knuckles were hurting really bad after beating Austin up earlier. I laid here on my bed and thought about Olivia, wondering what she was up to right now.

The front door opened and I instantly became alert.

"Alex, I'm home!" Mom yelled.

"Hi mom!" I yelled back. I ran out of my room and hugged mom.

"Did you have a good Tuesday?" She asked.

"Yeah," I said, smiling. "I talked to Olivia. I invited her over for Friday."

"Cool," mom said.

"Mom, I need to talk to you," I said.

"Okay, what's up?" Mom said, making her way to her office down the hall.

"Well, I found out about a month ago, and I couldn't find the right time to tell you, but I'm bisexual."

"I always knew you were," mom said smiling at me. "I knew it was just a matter of time before you found out for yourself. I'm so proud of you honey," mom said, hugging me again.

"Thanks, mom," I say, thinking whether I should tell her about Olivia or not.

"So," mom said, "how long have you liked Olivia?"

"What!? How did you know?" I said, shocked.

"I'm your mom, I know everything," mom laughed.

"I haven't told Olivia how I feel yet," I say.

"That's okay. Just take your time with it," mom said.

I heard my phone ringing. It was Olivia's ringtone. I ran to my room and answered it.

"Hello?" I said.

"Alex, please, I need your help! John's over here and he's drunk. He's already hit my mom and she took off with my little sister. I'm sitting in my closet, scared out of my mind," Olivia said. I could here her crying.

"Don't worry, I'll be there in five minutes," I said.

"Thank you so much."

She hung up and I went back in mom's office.

"Mom, Olivia's in trouble. She just called me and asked me to go help her. Can I go-"

"Just go. Be careful," mom said, as I ran off to get shoes on and run out the door.
