(Alex's P.O.V)

There was a knock at the door and Olivia pulled away to go answer the door. I swear, when we kissed, it was like my pain had left me, and all that mattered in that moment was that we were together and in love. Olivia came back with two police men and two paramedics. As the paramedics carried me to a gurney, I saw the police men trying to wake John up. Good luck with that, I thought to myself. Olivia followed us as the paramedics wheeled me out to the ambulance, and climbed in. Olivia shut the doors while the driver got in and the paramedic to my right slipped an oxygen mask over my face. He took the towel from my stomach and grimaced. He took out something that looked like antibiotic cream, and spread it gently over my stomach. It was icy cold, and I gasped at the sensation. Olivia took my hand, and I smiled over at her.

Upon arriving at the hospital, I was immediately taken to the emergency room and seen to. A doctor and three nurses were pushing my gurney somewhere and Olivia followed close behind.

"You need to stay out here, miss," one of the nurses said to Olivia.

"But-" Olivia began.

"I'm sorry, but you can't go back there," the nurse retorted. Olivia went to the waiting room and sat reluctantly.

Those damn doctors! There's no telling how long Alex will be back there with them, or what they will do to her. Oh God, stop it Olivia, you're going to scare yourself. Alex will be fine, she's going to make it. After I'd calmed myself down, I pulled out Alex's phone. She had a few texts from Adalynn, and a call from her mom. I called Adalynn first because I knew she wasn't busy, and explained what happened. After hanging up, I called Alex's mom and told her what happened and told her we were okay. Right as I got off the phone with Joan, a nurse came and told me I could see Alex. She took me back to her room and led me in there.

"Don't get her blood pressure too high, she needs rest," the nurse stated in a rather bored tone, and walked out. I took a step towards Alex's bed as I felt hot tears stinging my eyes. I went over to Alex, wrapped my hands about her face, and kissed her.

I remember a sharp pain, and I was asleep. When I woke up, a nurse was next to me checking all the monitors and things I was hooked up to.

"You lost a lot of blood," the nurse said quietly. "You're lucky you got here in time. I'll be right back," and the nurse walked out.

About ten minutes later, I heard footsteps coming towards my room. At first, I thought it was just the doctor or a nurse, and I was half right.

"Don't get her blood pressure too high, she needs rest," I heard a nurse say. The nurse walked away and Olivia took a step in the doorway. I looked in her eyes and I knew she wanted to cry. She took another step towards me and before I knew it I was once again enganged in a loving kiss from the angel that was Olivia. She pulled away, and I wiped away the tears that stained her beautiful face.

"I called and explained what happened to your mom and Adalynn. Adalynn is coming, and your mom should be here around six," Olivia said.

"Thanks baby," I whispered. I took Olivia's hand in mine and kissed it gently, and she sat down in the nearest available chair to my bed. I smiled at Olivia, and she smiled back. We were both startled when Adalynn came rushing into my room, panting and struggling to catch her breath.

"Olivia...called...and told me...what happened," Adalynn gasped.

"Addy, relax! Sit down, catch your breath. I'm fine," I said. Adalynn seated herself oppisite Olivia and attempted to catch her breath. Once her breathing leveled out, we all talked and made jokes and just relaxed until mom got there.

Mom knocked on the inside of my door, and walked in quietly.

"Are you alright?" She asked.

"Yeah, I'm feeling okay," I said smiling at Olivia. The doctor walked in and looked at mom.

"I'm assuming you're Alex's mother?" He asked.

"Yes," mom answered curtly.

"She'll need these antibiotics and pain medications. You need to be careful with that wrap around your stomach, keep it dry," the doctor said to me.

"Will do, doc," was my simple but witty reply.

The doctor turned to mom and handed her what seemed to be a list of medications.

"Alex will need to take these as directed on the bottle," the doctor said quickly. "A nurse will be back in a few minutes with your clothes, and then you can go."

"Okay, thanks," mom and I said in unison.

The doctor walked out, and mom turned to me.

"I'll go fill these prescriptions," mom said. "Are you okay to take Alex back to the house?" She asked Adalynn.

"Yeah, I can take her," Adalynn said.

"Okay, thanks. I'll meet you guys at the house okay?"

"Alright mom, see you there," I smiled.

Mom walked out and a few minutes went by before a nurse came in with my clothes. She handed the bag with my clothes to Olivia and walked out.

"Do you need help getting dressed?" Olivia asked.

"No, I don't think so," I replied, attempting to sit up.

"I'll go bring the car around and wait for you guys out there," Adalynn said, walking out.

I grabbed my bag of clothes and ripped it open. I tore out my t-shirt and jeans, and pulled off my hospital gown. I tried to stand up, but Olivia had to catch me when I almost fell.

"Okay, you need to sit down. Raise your arms up," Olivia said, slipping my shirt over my head.

"You don't have to dress me you know. I'm not a baby," I laughed.

"Sure you are. You're my baby," Olivia smiled and winked at me. She pulled my jeans up my legs gently and buttoned them.

"I'll be right back. I'm going to get a wheelchair," Olivia said. I grabbed her arm before she could leave and whipped her around.

"No, I need to build my strength, and the only way I'm gonna do that is if I start trying to walk around and get back to my old self," I said. "Thanks for the thought though," I said, smiling at Olivia. We walked carefully out to Adalynn's car and Olivia sat in the back seat with me. Adalynn dropped us off at my house and made sure we got settled in before leaving.

"I'll come by and visit tomorrow," Adalynn said.

"Okay, thanks," I smiled. "See ya."
