'What have you been up to?'it feels like you are not putting any effort in complete your mission, you've not been reporting back. Are you having some problems? Or are you just not capable of avenging your father's death? Maish spat angrily at Hameed. So far, Hameed's mind has drifted from his mission, all he does is think of the new life coming to the world, his baby. He obviously did not plan to fall in love with Amal but what can he do? Hearts can be stubborn sometimes...every time. You don't get to decide who you fall for, unfortunately for Hameed, his heart chose to fall for Amal, the very last girl he thought of loving, the daughter of his sworn enemy. It's hard not to, he fell in love slowly and gradually, he loved her smile, he loved her voice, her laugh...oh Allah her laugh was mesmerizing. He loved waking up every morning and seeing her beautiful face. Even when he hates her, he still loves her.

He couldn't pin point the very first time he started loving her, it was a gradual thing, he doesn't know how, but he fell for her hard that it hurts. Living with her for seven years did not help either, and then she was giving him a baby, how great is that! Amal is just a lovable person and he hates that he loves her.

He couldn't help but think how he let his guard down whenever he is with her, she is so pure and he envied her, he cannot remember if he was ever like that. She was so pure and he was dirty, she was light and he... he was dark. He felt some need when he's with her, and when she hugged him, he felt safe in her arms, he wanted to hide from his darkness and fall into her warm arms which will protect him from himself because he was the darkness. But he knew he was not to love her... he never should have, because at the end of it all, he will always choose his path of vengeance and he will hurt her.

'So? Any update on your mission Hameed? Maish's husky voice brought him back from his thoughts. 'no, not yet boss, and I'm certainly not having second thoughts, I will kill Abduljabbar and deliver his head'. Hameed spat venomously. 'good, you better not son.... I know it is difficult living with a beautiful lady and you know... Maish trailed as everyone laughed knowing what he meant. Hameed felt his anger rise up in him and he gave Maish a glare. 'if we are done here, I would like to leave'. Hameed said dismissing the joke and laughter of the men. Maish looked at Hameed intently as Hameed felt uncomfortable under those dark eyes. 'You are dismissed'. Maish said finally removing his gaze from Hameed. They all left the large room.

Walking towards the large brown door, he couldn't help but notice the unsettling urgency in his father's voice as he called him requesting to see him in his office. Reaching the large door, he knocked and a deep voice spoke from the other side telling him to come in. as he opened the door his eyes locked in with the man's eyes...his father. He looked worried, there were some worry lines on his forehead, the slight aging also made an appearance. Whatever has his father worried like this... is not good. 'took you long enough'. The man said sternly. 'I think I made it quite early given the short notice'. He replied shrugging as he sat on the seat facing his father. 'why do you need me?' he asked as he took the pack of cigarette on the table across his father as he lighten it taking from it and releasing the smoke. 'Sardat, I need your undivided attention, this is a very crucial matter'. He uttered looking straight into his sons brown eyes. Those eyes are exactly like his mother's, Sardat has her looks but not the personality, that was all him. 'Ow...kay, why is Hameed not here? Did I do something wrong?' he asked looking around. 'I'm afraid this meeting is about him, and this meeting is strictly confidential, no soul shall know about this, not even Hameed...especially Hameed. Sardat stiffened; he stared at his father with utter confusion. 'oh...oh, I don't like where this is going, Hameed always knows, you know that don't you?'. 'Feel free to sign you death certificate then, dear son.' Maish added glaring harshly at Sardat. 'it has come to my knowledge that Hameed has not been putting effort in completing his mission, he has not been reporting his progress on the assignment, as much as I hate to admit it, I think he's been compromised'. Maish added with pained expression, just thinking Hameed compromised makes him sick. He hated this, doubting his son, all this feeling is just overwhelming. 'ah... really dad?'. Sardat scoffed. 'Compromised? Hameed? This two can never be put in one sentence together'. Sardat scoffed and released the smoke staring at his dad, upon seeing the look on his father's face, he knew he was serious, he really thinks Hameed is compromised. 'relax father, there's no way Hameed is compromised, the man worships you, he's very loyal to you, I assure you father, Hameed is most certainly not compromised'. He stood up straightening his shirt, 'sit! I am not done talking'. His father spat. Sardat looked up at him, but sat down reluctantly. ' I also have my doubts, that is why I requested you, I need you to keep an eye on him and report back to me on whatever he's upto...discreetly'. Maish said rubbing his forehead. 'you want me to spy on my brother, the most powerful and trainded assassin, the merciless, the ruthless of us all, and then you say discreetly , if he...god forbids, finds out, he will have our heads, you might be the boss but you know as much as I do that Hameed is no joke'. Sardat felt his hear jump just thinking of their fate when he finds out, he will surely give them a spectacular death. ' that is why I asked you to do it, he trusts you, you are his brother, his best friend, his confidante, he has no reason to suspect you'. Maish explained. 'All the more reason not to go on with this absurd plan'. Sardat reasoned. He really thinks his father is losing his mind, how on earth was he supposed to spy on Hameed? 'look, Sardat this is a simple task, all you need to do is observe him and then report back to me, he might be the ruthless but I am still the boss, I made him the ruthless'. Maish spat. 'why do you think he's compromised anyway?' Sardat asked reluctantly. 'he has fallen in love with the girl...the target's daughter, even if he doesn't realise it yet.' He said bitterly. 'And why is that a bad thing? She's his wife'. Sardat asked confused. 'you fool, don't you know the power of love? Falling in love with her is a huge mistake, it's a distraction , a very bad one at that. Hameed will not be able to complete his mission and if he manages to, which I highly doubt that, it will brake him, seeing the one you love in pain is misery, but being the one to inflict pain in them, nobody can endure that, not even the great Hameed. So Sardat keep an eye on him, if he gets distracted in anyway, you are to take care of the mission no matter what. I cannot afford to any mistakes due to his foolish affection, not when I came this far. Maish said as he ran his fingers through his hair.

'very well then, father, lets pay the gorgeous lady a visit, shall we?'.
