Waking up with several injuries and an empty stomach definitely made the group even more depressed as they dug away at the amount of food they had left in their bags, which turned out to be none at all.

They all packed away their limited supplies without another word as they headed back to where they had came from before.

The never-ending forest.

"My parents..." Storm had suddenly whispered.

"My parents! I could not find them, what if something happens to them?" Her shouts echoed through the trees and had replayed her calls several times before fading away.

"I am going back to look for them..." Storm had now marched off back towards the direction of the mountains, with Isri followed behind her, trying to stop her.

"Please do not, it is too dangerous for you to go alone. I am sure that they are fine." Her words made the girl a bit calm but not enough to stop her.

"If we must, we will accompany you-" Her brother had cut her words off short.

"No, we shall not. It is too much of a risk."

The wizard nodded his head in agreement. "I agree to Ixal's statement. It indeed is risky."

The girl was now silent as she followed behind the group, her steps were slower and slower as they moved further and further away, as if not wanting to leave her people's souls behind, in the frail wind.

Hours passed, and the group was now getting weaker and enervated. Their feet were red and shaking uncontrollably. Their bodies could not take this for any longer. Sayrim eventually fell to the floor, groaning in pain as she tried to get back up again but her legs failed her.

"Are you alright, Sayrim?" Isri asked, hurriedly helping the drained girl up, but failed to do so.

"Food..." Xenovix had unexpectedly mumbled out. His stomach rumbled the hundredth time, it was not as if Xenovix had counted though.

"We should stop, should we not?" The wizard had sighed impatiently as he sat down across from the fallen angel, his expression also indeed looked stale, as his eyes shut immediately as he fell asleep faster than anyone else in the group.

"Storm, come. Sleep over here." The easy-going light-grey haired girl had patted a spot beside her and Storm hesitatingly wobbled over, leaning onto a tree for support.

The group had once again made a small and comfortable area to sleep in, though dangerous, they did not care anymore. They fell asleep to the sound of cicadas screaming beside their ears. The tall, forest trees would rustle gently against the soft wind. The sky was mixed with of scarlet red and a pale yellow, as the sun slowly descended behind the mountains.

The afternoon was spent resting and as night had arrived, Axvel had awoken to thousands of stars scattered across the sky and when he turned to check if everyone was still dozing beside of him, he found Ixal missing.

Axvel sighed, his eyes scanned through the dark area, searching for the missing traveller. The full moon had been reflected by his dark azure blue eyes as he stared back up at the sky again, listening to the leaves that hummed along with the gale.

Dark clouds were making its way towards the glimmering moon. The area was now completely pitch dark as Axvel felt defeated, unable to look for the missing man. He urged himself to stay vigilant, but his eyes felt heavy and less than a few minutes, they had closed and his head was hanging above his motionless body. He had fallen asleep.
