Axvel's staff had blocked the sudden blow, as Ixal's blades had sunk deep into the wooden stalk.
"Knock it off, Ixal." Axvel said in a hushed voice, glaring at the enraged man, who held his blades against the resisting staff. Ixal's eyes were widened and red veins could be seen, as if almost popping out of his eye sockets.
"You want me to stop?" Ixal replied in a hungry whisper.
"S....Sïlver..." A hiss had erupted from Ixal's ajar lips as his tongue had traced his grinning teeth hungrily.
The dark was only illuminated by the man's eye as it let out a faint and frightening glow to the area.
His eye travelled to meet Xenovix's and he slightly chuckled as he watched the boy shudder with fear and clench onto the necklace tightly, afraid to let go. Afraid of what had approached him.
"Give it here, boy..." His voice was now low and stern, as he advanced towards Xenovix, pushing against the wizard's useless protests and the man's strength definitely overpowered the wizard's.
"Enough, Ixal. What are you doing?" Storm shouted, swinging her daggers from her belt, holding onto them with a tight grip, she lunged at the man, but halted to a stop, as she could see a light-grey haired girl shiver behind her brother's shadowed figure with angst.
Ixal reached out towards Xenovix's neck and ripped the necklace away from his weak hands and tried to yank it off the boy's neck with force. Xenovix yelled out in surprise, the chains were choking him.
"Give it to me..." Ixal hissed furiously as the attacked boy did his best to resist against the undefeatable man.
"W-Why do you need such a thing?" Xenovix had managed to cough out as he kicked his legs wildly against Ixal's tall figure but failing to do so. His throat was burning and his breathing quickened, he could barely breathe.
Ignoring the boy's protests, Ixal eventually shoved the strangled boy to the surface and pulled out his blade, readying himself to cut the mortal away but Sayrim had stopped him from doing so, as she raised her scythe to Ixal's neck. Her hands trembled but her voice was kept rigid and straight.
"Move your hands away from him."
Ixal had turned his head slowly to face the girl and gave her an enraged smile which frightened her, causing her to stumble over her feet and fall to the floor.
"You also wanted the sword?" The man hissed, hovering over the frail and afraid girl.
Xenovix had crawled to his feet and pulled out his sword. He raised it and slashed down at Ixal but missed. He was still an amateur.
"Give it to me!"
The shriek and shouting had hurt the boy's ears as he tried to aim again, but he was a step too late as Ixal had his blades already at Xenovix's neck, ready to press against the decrepit mortal's body with ease if the boy had resisted.
"The necklace...the sword...give it all to me..."
"Ixal!" A familiar voice was heard in the distance as Xenovix was about to pass out from the misery and discomfort as a long streak of grey hair had followed behind the girl. She pulled back on her bow, ready to shoot the man dead.
"Let him go."
The girl's voice came out strained but harsh as she furrowed her eyebrows, clenching her teeth enraged and hurt, as tears had dropped from her determined and mournful eyes. She took another gulp and exchanged a disappointed and bitter look with her brother.
