Chae Jieun

I went to all my classes just like I promised Changkyun to do so. It was so tiring but everything ended after time passed. I walked down and waited in front of the school's port on Changkyun.

"Oh wait! Minhyuk! I have to go to the cafe." I whispered to myself. I grabbed my phone out of my bag and texted Changkyun.

Go home first, I have an appointement. See you later :))

I quickly ran off before missing my appointement.

I ran to the port of the school where Jieun and I would see each other. Just when I had her in my sight she ran off to the opposite side and a message notification rang in my pocket.

I grabbed my phone and took a look at the message. It was from Jieun.

Go home first, I have an appointement. See you later :))

I sighed. What appointement must she have? She never had an outside life before. I let it go and walked to the cafe near by. Home is boring alone.

As soon as I walked in, I saw Jieun... with Minhyuk. She left me to go see Minhyuk. I sighed and started thinking why she would have an appointment with him. Are they perhaps in love? No no, I should stop thinking like that, Ji likes me. She wouldn't start a relationship behind my back. I ordered a coffee and watched as the two were concentrated talking to each other. I wonder what the conversation is about.

I try to listen closer but the music in the cafe was too loud for me to hear their conversation. Suddenly they were gone. I looked around and found them walking on the stairs which leads them to the second floor.

Okay now I'm having bad feelings about this. Should I go after her? Nah I trust her. Let me just get my ass out of here and prepare food at home.

By that, I exit the cafe and walked back home. On my way, I saw a not-so-old looking lady near our school gate yelling things and crying.

"Where are you? Come back, I miss you." She was crying. "May I help you?" I asked her. "No! I want my baby, where is my baby. I made a mistake tell my baby to come back." Her voice started getting louder.

"Please calm down miss. Is your child perhaps a student in this school?" I asked her again trying to stay polite.

"Yes, do you know her?" She asked. Maybe if she tells me how she looks or if she tells me her name I would know. "Discribe her please." I said amd waited for an answer.

"Well, my daughter, she is strong and lovely and smart and, and, and..." She slowly stopped as she fell uncouncious on the ground. I started panicking.

"Miss? Miss? Are you okay? Miss?" I tapped a few times on her cheecks, she did not reply so I carried her to somewhere to sit.

I got some water and threw it on her face. She immediately woke up, gasping because of the cold water. Wow didn't expect that.

"Ma'am, are you ok?" I asked. "I'm- I'm ok." She was catching her breath. "Changkyun?" I heard a voice call out from behind. I looked behind me and saw Jieun coming my way.

"Jieun." I heald my hand up, greeting her. "Ah who is th-this you- you're with?" She pointed at the lady next to me.

"Ji?" The lady looked at Ji with sparkeling eyes. "You know her?" I asked Ji. "N-no, who are you?" She asked the lady.

Wait.. Is she.. tearing up? "Ji is there anything wrong?" I asked confused as both the females next to me where crying but only one with silence.

"J-Jieun! Ch-Chae J-Jieun. Don't you re-remember me? Your mom." Everything in my head became a mess after hearing that. Her mom?

I walked towards him and saw her sitting there. Why is she appearing now? Why does she have to interrupt when life is going so well. I pretended like I didn't know her. I don't want to know that person why do I know her? Why? I felt like crying at that moment until:

"Ji is there anything wrong?" Changkyun asked me. I hate that question.

"J-Jieun! Ch-Chae J-Jieun. Don't you re-remember me? Your mom." No. No you're not.

"No, you're not my mom. A mom is a person who teaches a child what's wrong and what's right. A mom is a person who gives love to their childeren young and old. A mom, is a person who's on your side weather you're wrong or right. A mom is the person who raises you, not the person who gives birth to you. Out of all those things I've said, you only gave birth to me. You're not a mom. Not my mom, I don't have a mom." I said that all in one long breath and let it out afterwards.

"It's hard, I can't handel it alone. I made a mistake Ji. Please come back home. I couldn't sleep for the past days thinking about you, where you sleep and how you get yourself food."

"That's a mom's job, worrying. Congratulations, you finally became one." I wrapped myself together and walked away, heading home. I started crying in myself not wanting her to hear me.

"Ji! Ji!" Changkyun yelled but I just ignored and walked faster as the empty street was filled with the cries of the strange lady I used to call mom.
