You pulled the door open, as directed on the sign, and walked through.

The bright sunlight blinded you, as dry grass was crushed beneath your feet.

After exiting, the door slammed shut behind you.

You turned around to see that it had disappeared.

The dull sound of a horse's hooves on hard earth made you turn back.

It was a literal knight in shining armor.

One more thing to kick off of your bucket list.

He must've seen you, because he was headed right towards you.

Mostly, it's because you were the only thing to look at on this barren landscape and you weren't too quiet.
