You opened the strangely light wooden door to be greeted by birdsong.

Rather obnoxious birdsong.

Really, it shouldn't even be considered birdsong. More like birdscreech.

The source of the terrible noise was coming from a beautiful, and quite large, silver peacock.

The thing was a big as a friggin cow.

You looked around. Lush emerald foliage surrounded you, with ceramic pots and pillars making it look as if a jungle had grown in Roman ruins.

You scratched your ear only to see dried blood flaking away.

Considering the terrible noise, it wouldn't surprise anyone if they had gone deaf.

But this was dried, which means that the cause had stopped, you dingus.

You slowly turned only to see that the ginormous peacock had disappeared.

How could a creature that fat hide.

Seriously.

It should be impossible.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!?!??!" A shrill voice screeched behind you, making your ears bleed again.

You were probably going to die of blood loss by the end of this.

If you confront the voice's owner, go to Chapter Thirteen.

If you run away, go to Chapter Fourteen
