~~Before he walked into Angela's room, the doctor just went back.~~
I sat down in the chair with a humph. My mind was in circles. Angela's going to need help. She's not going to be okay.
She has a child, and as far as I know, she has no family. She'll be alone, taking care of Evan when she can't even walk to the fridge.
I rested my forehead in the palms of my hands of let out a long sigh.
Why did this happen to me? I should be with my girlfriend in Michigan. I'm meant to be writing music with my band. I was happy. Then it all came back. The hurt, the pain, the regret. The old happiness. How I lost everything.
I was planning on marrying Lindsey, not expecting to see Angela again. Not wanting to. But then it all changed again. My old feelings came back. Seeing Angela in pain hurt. It's was when I saw her in pain in the hospital bed, I realized I should've fought for her.
But I was hurt, I felt cheated and worthless. Trying to work thing's out with her was the last thing on my mind.
I was shaken out of my thought by the chair next to moving slightly, showing me someone had sat there. But why, there was plenty of chairs around the room. Why would someone sit by me?
"Rough Day?"
No man, my day has been peachy keen. I'm in a hospital, cheering.
I let out a heartless chuckle and looked in front of me, "You can say that."
I looked to the left to where the man was sitting and took him in. He had messy brown hair. Looking as if his hands went through it a few too many times. His eyes had dark bags under them. He looked to be in his late twenties, early thirties. His almond brown eyes stared deeply into mine. He looked broken. But had a smile on his face.
"I couldn't help but over hear you and the doctor speaking" he started "You were standing a few meters in front of my seat. But, I just wanted to say it'll get easier as times go on."
I looked at the man and gave him a look of disbelief. He didn't even know half of the story, just that she is injured badly. Not the fact I traveled quite a few states to get here. Or maybe even the fact that I haven't talked to her in a hell of a long time.
"I know I barely know what's going on, but believe me. I've dealt with it."
"Sir, please sto-" I started, only to be cut off by the doctor telling me I can go see Angela.
"Trust me" he said gripping my arm, preventing me from seeing Angela. "Please."
I gave the man a dirty look and tugged my arm out of his grip. He knows nothing.
I walked away giving him one last look and shaking my head.
How does he have the right to tell me what's going on. He doesn't know me, or Angela. He doesn't what we've been through. He doesn't our story. Nor will he.
The doctor led me up to the door but stopped me before I walked in.
"She doesn't know about her injuries yet. We need to run more test's to be sure on some thing's. So don't mention anything yet. She isn't well right now either. So be easy, help her out, don't let her move too much. She needs to heal and moving doesn't help."
I gave the doctor a nod and he patted my back, telling me to go in.
The last thought going through my head was Angela. She is in pain. She's dealt with pain her whole life. She doesn't deserve it, she need's help. She needs me and the sleeping baby in my arms.
I need to help her. I will help her.
