"Oh." Riley said after Maya's explanation.

"Look Maya, seeing you with Tom... It made me realize something. It made me realize that I don't want you to be with anyone else but me. It made me realize that I don't want to be just friends. I want you Maya. You're the first person I ever truly wanted and I'm scared I'll lose you when I don't even have you. I don't want to be just friends with you. I can't be just friends with you."

Maya just stared at the younger girl for a few seconds without being able to form a sentence in her mind.

"I... I uhh... I don't- I mean I..."

"You're cute you know that?" Riley said coming closer to the now blushing girl.

"I'm going to kiss you right now. If you don't want to, just say the word." Riley whispered.

Riley moved her lips closer to Maya's.

"I don't want to." Maya suddenly said.

Riley was more than hurt. She didn't know how to deal with rejection. Riley Matthews does not do rejection.

"What?" Riley asked confused.

"You're just gonna kiss me without a proper date first?" Maya asked.

Riley felt like a huge rock was lifted from her and she started to grin.

"Ok. Tonight. 6pm. I'll come pick you up at your house, dress casual but hot." Riley smirked.

Maya knew Riley wasn't asking her on a date. She was saying they're going on a date. Stating a fact. And that's exactly the kind of confidence Maya found so incredibly hot about the girl.

"I'm always hot." Maya argued with a smile.

"That I agree." Riley said before kissing Maya's cheek and walking out of the bathroom leaving Maya smiling like a weirdo.

--------------------------------------------

6 o'clock rolled around and both girls were more than excited even though Riley would never admit she was.

As Riley pulled up her car next to Maya's apartment building she pulled her phone out to text Maya she was there.

R: Hottie with a body! I'm here.

Maya couldn't help but blush and giggle from the text while Riley was smirking, full of confidence.

M: I'll be down in a sec.

R: What are you wearing? ;)

M: Your skin if you ever ask that again.

R: damn... Feisty. I like it.

M: Oh shut up.

After Riley read that last text, Maya came up to her.

"Hey." Maya said grinning.

"I didn't think you'd be so harsh, Jesus.... I just wanted to know what I'm going to take off of you tonight." Riley smirked and looped her hands in Maya's jeans, pulling Maya against her body.

Maya's eyes widen as her jaw fell in shock.

Riley smirked and started kissing Maya's collar bone.

"Riley, no. I want to take things slow this time. Plus I don't kiss on the first date." Maya said.

Riley pouted and opened Maya's door for her.

"Thank you." Maya said and Riley responded with a nod.

Riley jogged to the drivers side and got in, starting their way to their date.

--------------------------------------------

"So where are you taking me?" Maya asked.

"You'll see." Riley smirked.

Riley took Maya to a rooftop of a very high building with an amazing view of New York.

As Riley got out of the car, she took the small basket she made before opening Maya's door for her.

They went up to the roof and as soon as Riley opened the door, Maya was speechless. The building was so high, that the people were merely dots on the ground.

"Woah." Maya said.

"Yeah. I found this place about a year ago and I make sure to come here often. It reminds me to look at everything and appreciate what we have." Riley said while putting the basket down.

"Is this how you get all the girls?" Maya joked.

"No I don't need a rooftop for that, just me." Riley joked back.

"But, you're actually the first person I ever showed this to." Riley said with more seriousness in her voice.

"Well, I'm honored." Maya smiled.

--------------------------------------------

The date was now over, sadly, and it was time to go home even though both girls didn't really want to.

Maya parked her car by the sidewalk near Maya's building and got out of the car to walk her. They were both standing near the building door now and neither wanted to say goodbye.

"I really enjoyed tonight." Maya said smiling.

"Me too." Riley agreed.

"So I guess I'll see you at school tomorrow..." Riley said, looking at her feet.

"Yeah I guess."

Riley stepped closer to Maya, looking at her crystal blue eyes.

"Can I kiss you?" Riley said just above a whisper.

"I don't kiss on the first date remember?" Maya smirked.

"Well technically this isn't our first date. There was that time in detention." Riley kissed Maya.

"And in the bathroom when we first kissed." She kissed her again.

"And numerous times that we spent in my house." Riley smirked and kissed Maya again.

"Oh and then the bathroom again." Another kiss. But this one was longer, with more passion and desire.

Riley's hands rested on Maya's waist, pulling her closer, while Maya's hands were around Riley's neck. Sadly, they had to pull away, but when they did both girls couldn't help the smiles on their faces.

"Goodnight." Maya said without letting go of Riley.

"Goodnight."

They held each other for a few seconds just looking at each other's eyes.

"You know this is the part where you're supposed to go home right?" Riley smirked.

"Yeah... Goodnight Riley."

"Goodnight Maya."
