A mess

Hermione couldn't sleep. She slept for an hour, woke up, stayed up for twenty minutes, went back to bed, slept for a while, woke up and so it goes on.

The light hit her in the face. It was morning already, and not much sleep.
She sat up to realise Draco was right beside her. He was still sleeping. Her thoughts wandered to last night. He kissed her. It didn't mean anything, did it? It was probably just to mess with her feelings, as he usually did. It stung in her stomach just thinking about it.
Hermione got up and kissed him on his forehead. And then walked to Gryffindor commonroom. It was not as she expected. She thought it would be pretty empty, but it was the opposite. Fred was there with Ginny, Harry, George, Neville, Dean and Seamus. And on the other side of the room Lavender and Parvati was whispering. Hermione walked past them and they started to laugh and whisper more.
Hermione decided to walk back to them.
"What are you talking about?" She asked.
"Where were you last night?" Lavender asked and giggled.
"None of your buisness."
"Everyone know you slept with Draco." Parvati then said.
"What?"
"Everybody---"
"That's not true." Hermione interrupted.
"Well, I slept beside him in the hospital wing because he is hurt, but I didn't sleep with him at all." She continued.
Lavender and Parvati both laughed.
"Who did you hear this from?"
"Everybody is talking about is." Brown said.
"Who's everybody?"
"I heard it from Ron, who heard it from George. George was told by Cho who was told by---"
"This is going to take a long time, so stop. I'll ask George."

Hermione then walked over to her friends. She felt angry because there is a lot of rumors going on about her, and none of them are true. She is not that kind of girl who sleeps with guys just because she feels like it.

"No, it's not true. You don't need to ask." She said before anyone was able to ask her.
"Good." Fred said and smiled at her.
Crap, she had forgotten that Fred kissed her. Now she felt horrible. Great.
"Who told you, George?"
"Cho." He said.
"Who told Cho?"
"I think she overheard Crabbe and Blaise talk about it."
"Let's get breakfeast guys." Harry said.
They all started walking.
Hermione ran over to George.
"We are not done talking about this."
"You should ask Cho, really, she was the one who told me."
"I will." Hermione said and walked fast.

"Hey Granger, wait up."
It was Fred. He looked happier than usual, if that's possible. He and George has always been happy. And funny. The twins are always up to some kind of pranks.
"Did I tell you how beautiful you look today?" He asked.
"No, but who knew Fred Weasley was such a hopeless romantic?"
"I knew." Ginny said and laughed.
Hermione giggled and Fred was blushing more than ever.
"Well Sis, you don't have a say in this. You should've heard yourself this summer."
"What do you mean?" She asked.
"You speak loud when you're sleep talking."
"Oh Harry, kiss me. I've missed you too." George said and tried to sound like Ginny.
"Shut up." She said and blushed.
Hermione looked at Harry and saw that he was blushing too. Everybody started to laugh.
When they finally arrived to The Great Hall, the first thing Hermione did was walking towards the Ravenclaw table. Her eyes was looking for Cho.

"Cho, can I have a word with you?" Hermione asked.
"Of course." She said. Her long, silky, black her flipped as she stood up. Hermione and Cho never had a real conversation. A "hi" here and there sometimes, yes, but not more.
"You told George about the rumor?"
"What rumor?"
"The one about me and Draco?"
"Yes."
"Who told you?"
"I walked past Crabbe and Blaise talking about it."
"You did?" Hermione asked and was releaved.
"Yes, you should've seen Pansys face. She was green with envy." Cho giggled.
"Why?"
"Why do you think? She has been all over Draco since third year."
Hermione laughed.
"Thanks for telling me, and just as you know, the rumor is not true at all."
Cho smiled and walked back to her friends. Same did Hermione.

Hermione had some spare time after breakfeast and decided to go the library for some reading. She found a book about fantastic beasts and walked over to her usual reading corner. As she came closer she realised it was not avalible. She saw a blonde guy and knew who it was.
"That's my corner." She said and smiled.
"It's mine now." He said while he turned around.
"Hermione." He continued.
"Hi, how are you feeling?"
"Horrible. You?" Draco tried to smile.
"I don't know. Heard the rumor?"
"Of course."
"Why are you out of the hospital wing already? I thought you were really hurt."
"I am, but they let me out if I went to the library or The Great Hall."
"I see."
"I didn't know you had your own reading corner." He said.
"Now you know."
There was an awkward silence, and Hermione was not used to it. Usually they argued or had something important to talk about.
"Don't you have class soon?" Draco asked and smiled at her.
She took his hand.
"Yes."
He took his hand away and Hermione felt rejected, it made her mad.
"Why the fuck did you kiss me last night?" Hermione asked and felt the anger rising up in her.
"Hermione, it's complicated--"
"No, it's not fucking complicated. Either there's something more or you are leading me on."
"I'm not leading you on." Draco said and raised his voice.
"Then why---?"
"Because--"
Hermione looked down at her clock and realised she would be late for class.
She ran away the fastest she could, hearing his explanation was not an option right now.

She walked in to the defense against the dark arts classroom. Snape had taken over it this year because Slughorn had taken over potions, which made Hermione like potions more now because she didn't have to listen to Snapes rude comments. That's why she was no such a big fan of defense against the dark arts anymore.
She walked over to Harry and Ron.
"You should be glad Snape is late too, or else you would get into trouble."
"I would probably die, you know." Hermione joked.
"Or worse, expelled." Ron said and laughed.
"Oh shut up, Ron. I said that five years ago." She said and slightly punched him on his arm.
Snape came walking in and shut the door loudly.
"Sit down, turn to page 324, and answer the questions on the black board."
"But Professor, there aren't any questions on the black board." Harry said as he found a place to sit.
"There is now." Snape said and sent Harry a look.

After class Hermione decided to walk to the library again to see if she found Draco, but she didn't. She was about to walk out when Dumbledore approached her.
"Miss Granger, may I talk to you?"
"Of course."
"Join me in my office."
