"Eve, I'm going to ask you some questions so I can try to gain a better understanding on this situation. Is that alright?" Dumbledore spoke calmly with a pleasant smile on his face.

Evelyn nodded, just a bit uncomfortable. After all, she was sitting in a room with a man she previously assumed to be purely fiction. Her parents had already left because Dumbledore asked them to give them some time alone so he could question her, and they only agreed because, well, who would disagree with Dumbledore?

"When you were sent to the future did you live with a family?" Eve became noticeably darker when the headmaster asked her this question, and it took her a moment to work up enough courage to respond, "No sir, I was raised in an orphanage." She tried to be as polite, but she knew it came out a bit rough because this wasn't a topic she was particularly fond of.

"While you grew up in the orphanage, were there any particularly strange things you could do that other children could not?"

Eve smiled while thinking of how she could scare everyone who was ever mean to her, especially the orphanages caretakers. She realized that her wish of magic, for magic to be real, was coming true. Magic is real, and she's an example of that. When it hit her, she felt extremely stupid for taking this long to realize that if she's a Potter then she must be a witch. Yelling, she sprang up from her seat, "I'm a witch!"

Dumbledore's smile grew at the look of excitement on Eve's face. She had read about magic all throughout her childhood, all the while wishing for this moment to happen but never truly believing it could. But now it has. All those times growing up when she wished she could be like Harry Potter and get that moment where she learned that she wasn't a freak but rather had magical powers was now happening, and Eve couldn't begin to describe the feeling.

"I'm glad you're so excited, Ms. Potter. I'm sure Hogwarts has gained a wonderful witch upon your arrival." Evelyn beamed back at him before sitting back down, "Any other questions, headmaster?" She was exceptionally more cheery now.

"I'm afraid I'll have quite a few more. What do you remember about being returned to this time period?"

"I fell asleep after reading a book called, um, Harry Potter and the Philosopher' Stone. I had a dream where I was in a crib and a man was reaching down to take me, but before he could I began to feel very tight, I guess you could say. It felt like I was twisting. I couldn't breath, and then when I opened my eyes I was here."

Dumbledore merely nodded, thinking hard, "What were the books you mentioned earlier, Ms. Potter? The Harry Potter books?"

Once Dumbledore asked this question, Eve thought about the books. She thinks about how Peter betrays the Marauders, how Sirius ends up in Azkaban even though he's innocent, how Remus ends up alone because of all this, and how her future nephew has to grow up in horrible ways because of a stupid prophecy. But most of all, she thinks of how the brother she has just gained dies at the young age of 21, and the parents she never had would die just a year or two before. While thinking this, Eve was growing sadder. That is until she realized that she knows all of this and she knows how it happens.

Dumbledore watched as Eve sat there thinking about his question, he watched as she suddenly became scared. He continued to look on as she suddenly had a determined look on her face, this look appearing once she told herself she would keep everything above from happening.

"Professor, these books hold the key to everything about the war. I know everything that will happen! I-I can tell you how to stop Voldemort. These books will keep so many people from dying," exclaimed Eve.

"I'm very sorry to have to ask you to explain all of this, Ms. Potter. I'm going to need you tell me everything you know about these books." And so Eve did, with Dumbledore listening intently the whole time. It got a bit awkward when Eve had to mention the part about Dumbledore basically setting Harry up for Voldemort, but she told him absolutely everything she knew. She was quite surprised that James never came rushing back in, but she figured he probably needed some time to grasp everything as well.
