~Stephanie's POV~
Dear Diary,
Hey, what's up, I'm Stephanie. Most people call me Steph or S, but whatever. Anyway, I have a brother, his name is Conner, he's on the soccer team, and so is my boyfriend Jake.
Our soccer team is the best, go Dragons!
I don't do sports, I hate physical activity actually.
My parents are lawyers, they're like way up there. They keep pressuring me into becoming a lawyer, but I want to be a writer. They just won't leave me alone about it.
Well, about school. I have very good grades, except in math, I have a B-, my parents say it's not good. I'm friends with everyone who is anyone basically. They aren't really nice people, but they don't go to parties everyday, they just hang out around the guys and flirt or just hang out like normal people. But, they aren't all rich like me.
I know I sound like a snob, but I swear I'm not. Maybe I like shopping, reading beauty magazines, boys, and make up, doesn't mean I'm a stuck up snooty little brat. I actually feel alone in this world, even though I have friends, both of my parents and an older brother who cares deeply for me. I just feel like I'm not truly myself. My friends expect me to do what the popular clique would do, make out with random guys, be rebellious, and be slutty. But I just want to be normal, well maybe not normal, but not who I am right now. I want to be top of the class without being made fun of, be faithful to the guy I love, and just have fun with people I actually want to hang out with. People who know what I'm talking about.
Well, enough about my ridiculous life, my mom is calling for dinner.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Luna
"Coming mom," I yell down the stairs
I hurry and put my new Diary on my bookshelf and run down the stairs. I know, my hiding place for my journal isn't very discreet, but who cares.
When I get to the dinning room everyone is already sitting at the table. I hurry at take my seat next to my brother Conner.
"What took you so long sis," he asks, stuffing a large amount of food on his plate.
I roll my eyes. I'm surprised he's not over weight. But I eat the same way.
"None of your business," I say, stacking garlic bread on my plate with a mound of spaghetti.
"Stephanie, you should watch what you eat," my mom says. She only has half a ice of garlic bread and a ridiculously small amount do spaghetti on her plate.
"Sure mom, I'll try," I lie. Everyone already knows I'm not going to listen to her, but she never seems to loose hope.
After dinner, I get stuck with cleaning the dishes and Conner drying them.
"You now your boyfriend Jack," he asks.
I stop to look at him, "it's Jake, and what about him?"
"I was just wondering...why is he the perfect guy for you," he asks sheepishly.
I shrug, not really sure. There was never a spark or anything, but I like him. "I like him, why are you asking?"
"I just don't want to think about some guy touching my baby sister," he says.
"Well then, don't think about it," I say, going back to the dishes.
"But you're my little bunny and I don't like it," he says.
