~Luc's POV~

"Stephanie," I whisper in her ear.

She just stirs, curling closer to me. I smile and kiss her cheek, that's when her eyes flutter open.

She smiles, "hey, what time is it," she asks, her voice tainted with sleep, though it is cute.

I grab my phone from the coffee table. "6:14," I say.

She puts her hands on my chest and pushes herself up, but she looks weak and strained, I frown.

"Are you okay," I ask, expecting her to tell me.

"Yeah, I'm fine," she says and I know it's a lie. I can hear the pain in her voice and she's shaking. Maybe I should've carried her to the bed last night.

"No, you're not fine," I sit up and she straddles my waist.

Her hair is covering her face and she looks tired and worn out.

"Luc, I'm fine okay," she says again, though I don't believe her.

I frown, "are you gonna go to school today," I ask.

"Yeah," she pushes her hair out of her face.

I nod as she goes into the bedroom to change. I go to the kitchen to make her some coffee and an apple. She comes back in a pair of black shorts, white long sleeved shirt that shows her stomach, white boots, and her hair in a ponytail. She has her back pack on her shoulders and everything.

I give her the apple and coffee as I go to change in a pair of my usual black pants and black v-neck, and black shoes.

I go back into the kitchen and see her eyeing the apple like she wants to eat it but something is keeping her from doing so.

I put an arm around her, "are you sure you're okay," I kiss her cheek.

"Yeah, I'm sure," she says, though she looks sick.

She gets up and we both go down to the garage. We get in the black Volvo and drive off towards her school. When we get there, everything looks normal with busy boys and girls walking around.

She sips her coffee one more time and sea it down. We both get out of the car and I walk over to her.

"You didn't need to get out of the car," she says softly.

"yes I did," I smile and she some what smiles.

"Seriously though, tell me what's wrong," I ask, stooping to her eye level.

She opens her mouth to say something, but gets it off by someone shouting.

I turn my head in the direction of the voice and see Jake, Conner, and Steph's two vampire friends.

"What are you doing here," Conner asks.

"What does it look like," I say.

"This is all your fault, you just had to take her away. Now she's changed," Jake says.

"Jake, you shouldn't do that," one of Steph's vampire friends say.

"You should listen to her," I frown, desperately trying to keep my anger down.

Jakes fists clench and he looks like he's about to explode. Like I could care less.

I turn back to Stephanie with worried eyes.

"I honestly dot know what it is, I just feel sick to my stomach," she says.

I smirk, "you do look a little green," I say.
