Liam's POV

Lissa sat on the couch tiredly. It didn't seem like she was able to process what just happened. "Fuck." She hissed. "What has she gotten herself into..."

I winced her choice of words, I'm not a fan of cussing, under any circumstances.

"She'll feel better after a good cry." Louis tried to assure Lissa with a pat on the back.

She shook her head, "I've known Tessley since we were 8. I've only seen her cry once, and that was when her mom died. This is bad, like really bad." She mumbled biting her lip.

"Should someone go talk to her?" Harry asked Lissa.

She hesitated, "I can't..." We all stared at her, waiting for an explanation. "I don't know what to say! She slept with a minor, someone she doesn't even care about!" She hissed.

"You don't know that..." I frowned, "They could have been together for a while and they didn't tell anyone. She needs a best friend Lis, you should really talk to her."

"You go." She snapped, "You two seemed to hit it off last night, so why don't you go comfort her." I knew Lissa was only saying that, but what could it hurt to try.

I took a deep breath and walked into the room were Tessley was sobbing into her pillow. I sat on the end of her bed awkwardly and waited for her to notice I was here. She didn't.

"Tessley?" I whispered. She looked up and I could see how miserable she really was. Her eyes were red and puffy, and she had tears running down her face.

Her lip trembled slightly, "W-What?" She whispered brokenly.

I suddenly got an idea. "Let's go out." I suggested, grabbing her wrist and pulling her out of bed. We walked right past Lissa and the lads, who were shooting me confused looks. "We'll be back later!" I yelled.

I kept walking down the street, looking for what I'd seen earlier.

"Where are we going?" Tessley asked quietly, rubbing the remainder of the tears off her cheeks.

"You'll see."

I saw what I had been looking for off in the distance and smiled. I looked back and saw Tessley still looking upset, her mind wandering.

"Here we are."

The beach was beautiful. The water was crystal clear and the surf was rolling in in beautiful waves that made me want to jump in right now. I subtly looked over at Tessley's face and saw the mix of awe and a smile playing on her lips. Exactly the reaction I needed.

"How did you find this place?"

"Louis and I spotted it on the way here, we planed to sneak out later tonight and go surfing." I shrugged.

She tilted her head slightly, "You surf?"

I laughed, "Not at all. Lou and I have tried a few times but we're not very great. Anyway, there's a surf shop around the bend there." I told her, pointing over a hill. "We don't have to surf if you don't want to, but I figured it could get your mind off everything."

She considered it for a moment, then nodded slowly, "I wanna try, I've never been before. You'll have to teach me."

"Alright lets go!" I said smiling. I started walking towards the water and I heard Tessley walking behind me.

We reached a small drop, and I turned to give her a hand. She tried to step down slowly, but ended up tripping over her own flip-flops. I stumbled backwards into the sand, and Tessley fell directly on top of me. Her face was in my chest and my arms wrapped around her as an instinct when we fell.
