Chapter 5

I walk into the kitchen and Stefan was sitting at the table while mama cooked breakfast. 

"Wearing your cheer uniform?" he asks.

"I thought you weren't going to talk to me" I reply looking away from him.

"I wasn't. Liz made me."

"It's been a week and without you talking no jobs are getting down. You have to speak to each other stuff what ever promise you have. Nothing's getting done."

"Fine" I reply shrugging my shoulders and looking at Stefan. "And yes. I need to make sure it fits and honestly I just love wearing it" I say touching it. 

"I never seen you do one thing cheer leading like" he explains.

"First of all, that mean and second.." I say and run outside. Mama watches at the window. I look over and see Stefan come outside. I look at the area in front of me and run up and do an areil and handspring into the splits. I look over at him and his jaw has dropped. 

"Bet that" I say walking past him into the kitchen. I get changed into a white top with a red,blue and white flannel with dark blue jeans and brown cowgirl boots and walk back out. 

"Your starting to dress like your old-self. Wearing cowboy boots to school."

"I don't I just felt like this today" I say and smile.

"Ok" mama says and smiles. I kiss her on the cheek then walk out the door with Stefan.

I stand in the school home-ec  rooms. I place the patty pans in the trays as Stefan walks in. He walks in and stands beside me.

"What some help?" he asks.

"Yeah" I say and smile. He turns the oven on and laughs to himself.

"What you did this morning was pretty cool. I never knew you could do that. Just like I never knew how bad you were at skiing" he says chuckling. I smile and turn to him.

"You know your a real ass?" I asks.

"Is that all you can say to me?" he says smiling.

"No" I reply shaking my head. I grab an egg from the cartoon and drop it on his shiny brown hair.

"You want to go there?" he asks. I bite my lip and smile. "Ok" he says. He grabs the packet of flour and drops half of it on my head. From what started with a egg on the head turned into a food fight. I would put something on his head and he would return the favour. I smile at him, it was truly the first time I had been happy in a week. He grabs my arm and swings me into a hug then pulls a piece of hair that was near my eye to behind my ear. He moves in to kiss me but Hailey walk in. 

"What are you too doing?".

"We were baking" I reply holding up two eggs laughing in to Stefan's shoulder.

"Ok" she says and walks off. 

"Hey, when we get home I want to show you something. Its another spot" I say. He nods his head and smiles. I smile at him and whack another egg on his face. He laughs at the yolk goes down his face. 

"Your going to have to pay for that. I will get you back" he says. I shake my head and smile.

I stand outside waiting for Stefan to walk out. I have to horses in my hands and a cowboy hat on my head. It was a different one from last time. 

Since it was pretty hot I thought we could take a dip in the lake.  I have my plain black bathers on with cowboy boots denim and an little-bit oversized Jack Daniels top.

He walks out and sees me. 

"Where are we going?" he asks walking down the stairs.

"A mystery trip. It was kind of hot so I thought we could do something different." I say. I jump on to my horse and look at him.  "Coming or not?" I ask turning around. He walks up and gets up on to his black horse. 

It was quite a long ride to the spot. But it was always worth it. I remember finding it in my first week. Hailey and I used to go down there and swim on hot days. We were the only ones that knew about. We stop a little bit away from the area. Luckily me and Hailey created a pen to keep the horses in. I grab his hand and run to the spot. I take off my top, shoes and shorts. I stand there half naked and Stefan just looks at me. 

"We're going swimming that was the surprise" I explain. 

"Oh" he says taking off his top. We jump and the water in clear and warm. We swim around for a bit and then we met in the middle. I run my fingers through my hair and stand facing Stefan.

"So. How did you like your surprise?" I ask.

He moves his fingers around in the deep end. "Well at first I though you were going to kill me. But it was an alright surprise" he explains. I splash him with a hurtful look on my face. He laughs. 

"I mean I could have no one really knows about this spot. And I wouldn't have to deal with you" I explain. I was just joking and I knew he knew that. He picks me up throwing me over his shoulder. I whack his back slightly trying to get him to let me go. But he just carries be on to the grassy area. He puts me on the ground and climbs on top of me. I roll over and pin him. 

"Ha" I say. 

"Not for long" he replies. I don't know what he means but in 10 seconds his in able to get on top of me and pin me. I start laughing and so does he. "Got ya!" he yells. I continue to laugh until he stops and we end up looking in to each others eyes. He moves in for a kiss and I let him. "I need to tell you something" he says unpinning me from the ground. I sit up and look at him. "Before we go even further. I need to say that I kissed Hailey" I go to stand up but he pulls me down. "But she pulled away" he says. I yank on my arm to get it back and grab my clothes. I leave him sitting there all on his own. I jump on my horse are ride off. I didn't care about him any more. He made it clear I shouldn't.

I wake up and go into the kitchen, but today instead of coming out to Stefan and mama in the kitchen it was just Mama.

"Do you know where Stefan is?" she asks.

"No" I say. 

"He didn't come home last night" she explains. I didn't really care for what she was saying he wasn't my problem.  "I've checked everywhere and I still couldn't find him" she says again.
