Have you read Lady Midnight yet? If not you neeeeed to read it! This isn't a huge spoiler, don't worry. If you have read it: Do you remember in the flashback where it was talking about Emma and Julian's parabatai ceremony, and after Jace and Clary were having that "astronomy lesson"? I loved that part! This is that part in Jace's point of veiw. Hope you like it!!

Jace's P.O.V.
Jace had been trying to sleep all night. For some reason he just couldn't sleep. Clary was asleep next to him. Even in sleep she was still the most beautiful person he had ever seen. He wrapped his arms around her gently, trying not to wake her, and pulled her against him. She leaned into him as he did so.
"Jace," she mumbled.
He shushed her, kissing her cheek. She smiled and sat up.
"I'm sorry," he said sitting up himself. "I didn't mean to wake you."
"Yes, you did," she laughed.
"Mk, maybe I did." He pulled her against him again and started kissing her. She kissed him back.
"What time is it, anyway?" She asked, pulling away just barely.
"I don't know, maybe midnight?" He said, leaning in to kiss her neck. He pushed her back down on the bed. "You want an astronomy lesson?"
"A what?" She giggled.
"Come on." He grabbed her hand and led her out to the lawn of the Herondale Manor, grabbing a blanket on the way out. He spread the blanket out over the grass and laid down on it.
Clary was smiling at him. He motioned for her to lie down beside him and she did.
"So, why are we out here?" She asked.
"I told you, it's an astronomy lesson."
She laughed at him.
"Look," Jace said pointing to a cluster of stars in the sky. "That constellation right there, that's the Rabbit. See how it has ears?"
"I'm pretty sure there's no Rabbit constellation." Clary giggled.
"Sure there is. And that one there, that's the Hubcap." He pointed to another spot in the sky. "And there's the Great Pancake."
"I'm going back inside." Clary said sitting up. "I was promised an astronomy lesson."
"What? Sailors used to navigate by the Great Pancake." Jace protested. He grabbed Clary by the waist and dragged her down to him so their bodies were aligned, her on top of him. "Okay, so maybe those aren't real constellations."
"Yeah, I thought so," Clary said, her voice dripping sarcasm.
Jace laughed and pulled her towards him. He kissed her softly. This was something that he would never get used to. Having Clary by him at night, kissing her when he couldn't sleep. He rolled over so Clary was under him, their bodies still parallel.
He traced a line of kisses across her cheekbone and down her jaw line. A soft moan escaped her lips as his lips came to her neck, and then her collarbone.
"I love you," he whispered to the crook of her neck.
"I love you, too," he heard her say.
"Clary?" He said as he pulled away to look her in the eyes.
"Jace?" She smiled back.
He sat up, dragging her with him so they were sitting eye to eye.
"I-I uh, I wanted to ask you something." He stuttered.
"What is it?" She brought her hand up to cup his cheek.
"W-will you... Will you marry me?" He managed to get out. He had been working up the courage to ask her for weeks, and he had finally done it.
"I-I, Jace, I..." Her voice trailed off. She looked at a loss for words. The corners of her mouth slowly started to turn up. She nodded. "Y-yes, Jace! Yes! I will!"
Jace's smile at those simple words would probably go down in history as the biggest smile ever. He let out a short laugh and pulled Clary to him. He kissed her all over, her lips, her neck, her cheekbones, her collarbones.
Jace hadn't had too many reasons to be happy in his life, but this was definitely a reason to be happy. He couldn't wait to see Clary walking down the aisle in her beautiful golden dress.

I thought that was adorabibble! I know that this isn't what actually happened. If you read the little short story at the end of Lady Midnight, you know that this isn't exactly acurate. But, hey, it's fanfiction.
