A/N:

Hey!! So, I'm pretty sure I said this earlier: I hit writers block really easily. Therefore, I do not write a lot. Therefore, if you have an idea, please be sure to comment it and if I use your idea I will be sure to give you credit. Thanks for those of you who read this. Honestly I only expected like zero to two reads and I'm pretty sure the last time I check, this story had like fifty. So, thank you. Now I know I'm probably being really boring so.... I'll get on with the story.

It was snowing outside. It had been snowing all day. The ground was covered in a thick white blanket of fresh powder. Or as fresh as you could get in New York. Alec Lightwood was rushing home in the still falling flakes of silver. He had stayed at the Institute an extra few hours than he usually did. Clary Fairchild had needed some extra pointers on how to throw a knife.

Jace would have done it, but he had to run a quick errand. He had left the Institute without telling anyone where he was going. He didn't even tell Alec. They were parabatai, they usually told each other everything. Whatever it was, Alec was sure Jace would come clean eventually.

Alec made it to the door of his apartment that he shared with his boyfriend, Magnus Bane, in record time. He fumbled his keys before finally sliding the correct one into the lock and swinging the door open.

The lights were off. Magnus and the kids, Max and Raphael, must have been asleep already. Alec shed his thick winter coat and placed it on one of the hooks by the door. He slipped his shoes off and headed for his bedroom.

Still shivering from the cold, he opened the door to find one lamp on and a de-sparkled warlock sitting on the bed reading. It was rare to see Magnus without makeup, but Alec loved it.

"Hey," he said as he sat down on the bed.

Magnus's cat eyes peeked over the top of the book. Alec loved those eyes, he would stare at them forever if he could. "Alexander!" Magnus exclaimed. "What time is it?"

"It's about midnight," Alec told him. "I'm sorry, I'm home late. I was helping Clary with knife throwing."

"It's fine darling," Magnus said. "I may or may not have lost track of time anyway."

Alec gave a small smile. Magnus didn't usually get worked up over him staying at the Institute late, it was just part of being a Shadowhunter.

Alec stood to shed his black t-shirt and switch his black jeans with a pair of black sweats. He was a Shadowhunter, meaning he had a lot of black in his closet.

When Alec returned to the bed, he was still shivering. Magnus had put the book down and as Alec laid next to him, he turned the light out. They were in total darkness. Alec felt a warm arm wrap around him.

"Alec?" Magnus said as he stroked his boyfriends face.

"Yes?" Alec replied. He was lost in the warmth of the warlock next to him.

"You're frozen!" Magnus drew Alec to him, wrapping him in a warm embrace.

"Only a little." Alec replied as he nuzzled into Magnus

Alec knew as always where exactly to cuddle with Magnus to get the most warmth. This wasn't the first time that Alec had come home from the icy cold winter air. Alec nuzzled his nose into the crook of Magnus's neck. Magnus jumped away from Alec's nose that had been replaced with a Popsicle.

"No, come back!" Alec complained. He felt even colder without the smell of Magnus -- burnt sugar -- next to him. "You're warm!"

"But darling! Your nose is frozen!"

"Exactly! Come here!"

Reluctantly Magnus laid back down next to Alec, and let him dig his cold nose into his neck.

"Thank you," Alec mumbled against his neck.

"Anything for you, my love," Magnus whispered.

They stayed in this position as they both drifted off into another night of warm, peaceful sleep.

Yes, I know, really short. But I thought it was adorable. What did you think? Let me know in the comments!

Thanks for reading!
