My mom was next to walk over alongside my dad. "Kylie. I have something to give you." My mom held up a shoe box. "They aren't shoes I promise. Jut open it." My mom laughed. I took the box from her opening it. Inside was a nautilus shell necklace, and a journal. I lifted up the necklace. "Its so pretty." I looked it over, then pulled out the journal. My mom placed her hand on top of the journal. "This isn't the place to open and read it." She looked at the journal then back to me. "The necklace however is something you can put on now." She shrugged. It took me a moment but i got the necklace on around my neck. The necklace was a white nautilus shell with golden stripes. The journal was brown and kinda beaten up. It wasn't in the best of shape but I could tell it was well taken care of.
"Thanks mom." I hugged her too. One of the other moms came over with Brady. My mom scooped Brady into her arms. "Hey little man." She smiled. Brady giggled flailing his arms. My mom brushed her hand through his hair. I walked away with Dylan, the necklace still on me. Maybe we can hang out when your'e feeling better?" I questioned. "Yeah. Are you sure you're okay about your arms? I feel really bad." Dylan muttered. I scoffed rolling my eyes. "Dude I'm fine trust me. Being ambidextrous has its perks." I chuckled. Dylan smiled lightly. "Okay just wanted to be sure." Dylan looked away shyly. "What are you thinking about?" I asked. "I don't know. Just how you had to dive in and pick me up. I should've not even tried." Dylan muttered annoyed. "I don't mind having to save your corpse. It wasn't that bad." I said. Dylan looked up with a smirk. "So you liked it?" He asked me. "Wh-What? oh my god Dylan!" I blushed slapping him playfully . He laughed. "Hey I would've done the same for you and enjoyed it just as much as you did." He smiled.
I rolled my eyes at Dylan. "We can hang out at the beach this weekend." I said trying to change the subject. My friend Angela walked by us. "Lovebirds!" She yelled then took off running. "Angela!" Both Dylan and I yelled embarrassed. "I regret nothing!" Angela yelled laughing.
