I'm sitting on my bunk bed and I look toward the bathroom. My blades are in there, I can easily grab one and press it against my wrist. I can easily end my life and leave everything I've ever known behind, but there is something in my heart stopping me.

I hear a set of knocks on my door and I quickly get off of my bed to answer the door.

It's Cole. I haven't seen him in seven days.

"Hi" I say softly

"Hey" he breathes out and just stares at me.

I tuck a piece of my hair back behind my ear, and I start to feel self conscious under his stare.

"Are you going to my game today?" He finally asks, breaking the silence.

"I mean, it's the US championship game so I was planning on going..." I tell him

He looks down at his feet for a few seconds then he starts to talk "Look Luna, your the only thing on my mind lately, and I'm not sure why, I just know that you've made me feel like myself than I've felt in years..."

I look down to avoid eye contact, and I bush.

We aren't as close as we used to be, and now it's like we are to shy to compliment each other.

"I'm sorry, I-I don't know how to respond to that" I tell him honestly and then I look up to see his facial expression

"You don't have to have a response, I just needed to tell you that"

"Oh" I say "I'll see you at the game then...in a couple minutes"

"Yeah...I guess" he says and I frown. My heart hurts.

He turns to leave but then stops and turns back around "Luna...I-I love you"

My breath gets caught in my throat and my mouth slightly opens.

"There I said it...I love you Luna Stotz and I don't care who knows" He says "I love Luna! I love Luna! I love Luna" he starts to shout in the halls but I pull him in my room so he would stop

"I shouldn't love you Cole" I whisper and he looks away from me "but...I do" I say and raise my hand to turn his face toward me

"I love you so much" I say almost inaudible

"Can you please kiss me?" He says looking my in the eyes

I nod and press my lips against his. I immediately wrap my arms around his neck and pull him in closer once our lips part.

"I love you Cole" I say and kiss him softly on the cheek

"Say it again" he tells me

"I love you Cole" I say and smile

"I can get used to hearing that" he says

"I can get used to saying it"

"Whoo! US Champs baby!" Kaden says as Cole, his team, and I walk to the cafeteria for a late dinner.

Cole loosely slings his arm over my shoulder and I wrap my arms around his waist.

"Look at the love birds! Did I not tell you that they were lovers?" Braden asks and elbows Adam

"Yes Braden, you did tell us they were lovers" Jaden says and playfully rolls his eyes

"I love being right!" Braden says and fist pumps the air

"You're so full of yourself" Cole tells him

"Look who didn't deny being in love this time!" Braden tells Cole sarcastically

"I'm going to slap that smug look off your face!"

"Ah man, but that would require you to move your arm off of Luna's shoulder" Braden teases and I lightly pat Cole's chest.

"Don't listen to him" I whisper

"Stop fighting! We just freaking won the US championship!!" Zack says, ending Cole and Braden's argument.

"On to the world championship in three days!" Jake cheers

I look up at Cole and see him smiling at all his teammates.

A lot can happen in three days.
