"We saved the school!" Christina bursts in through the door, her eyes blazing with excitement. Marlene and I squeal in joy. This is what we wanted. This is what we have been working so hard for. And we accomplished it. I was waiting with anticipation of what was about to come. I was wondering if we could even do our yearly duties in our office. But we could now.
"Let's start our yearly duties." I say blissfully.
"Yes!" Chris squeals. We start by cleaning up the room first. We need to keep it clean if new recruits are gonna apply for the Council course. And then I remembered that I haven't cleared my locker yet.
"Guys, I have to go clear my locker. Be right back." I say. Mar nods to me. I make my way to the corridor where my locker is. I sigh. There aren't many things, just a few books.
"Congrats." I hear Four's voice behind me. I turn around to face him, to find him standing there with that boyish smirk on his face.
"Thanks." I smile back at him.
"So why're you here?" He asks.
"Just clearing up. What're you doing here?" I ask.
"Same." He replies.
"Any plans? You know, for summer vacation?" He asks.
"Nope. Don't mind me. Summers are boring to me. I don't really know what to do on these breaks." I reply.
He chuckles. "I see."
"Yeah, I know, I am boring. But that's me, deal with it." I say.
"How about you join us on our beach vacation? We will be staying in the Pedrads' cabin there. You are welcome to invite Christina and Marlene too." He asks, looking eager. As if he is hoping I will say yes.
"I don't know...I have never done this before." I say.
"Come on, it will be fun. I won't let anything happen to you." He says, looking into my eyes.
"Alright. I will come. I will ask my friends too." I say.
His blue eyes light up. "Amazing! I will text you of the details."
"Will do." I smile.
"Bye! I have to go." He says.
"Bye!" I call after him.
