"And once again, I would like to thank everyone who helped me to get to where I am today. Thank you." I smile at the audience. I move away from the podium and into the backstage. That...went well I guess. It was so hectic.
"I can't believe we forgot about something so important to even begin with, guys." I say. Mar and Chris nod, keeping their sashes. I keep mine too.
"Let's go to the Council Room." I say.

"I feel so stupid reading this." I say to myself. These lyrics suck. I can't believe I even wrote them. What's going on?
I just returned home. School had started a couple of days ago. Apparently, I literally don't even feel like I had a holiday. Except for the fact that I went on vacation.
The door to my room opens and Matt steps in.
"Hey." I say. He smiles and sits down on my bed.
"I applied." He says.
I raise my eyebrows in question.
"To Chicago High." He says. "Please help me study. I want to pass the entrance exam."
The corners of my lips twitch up. I am smiling. "Of course. I will be more than happy to."
Since I don't have an inspiration for writing a song, I put my book away and help him study.

"They are singing and dancing at the same time. They may seem to be doing it effortlessly. But it requires lots of stamina." I conclude.
"You're right, we have been running up and down stairs for a while right now. But nothing is happening." Christina adds, looking at the A-RISE music video. Its one of their popular songs called Private Wars.Whatcha' do? Whatcha' do? I do Private Wars....Can I do? I make it, baby!
My mind wonders as they sing the chorus, how do they do it?
"Then that means we have to find other means of training." Marlene suggests.
"No we don't. We already have enough on our heads to take care of. We just have to push ourselves to the breaking point. That's what their doing. Look." I say, pointing to the video.
"Alright. If that's what you say, then its fine." Christina finishes.
"So...do you have any ideas for the song?" Marlene asks.
"That's what I wanted to talk to you guys about." I say. "I have absolutely no inspiration to write a song!"
"Oh, this is serious. Our songwriter has lost inspiration." Christina says.
"What are we gonna do? We don't even have a month before the preliminaries start." I say.
"Yeah. But fortunately, we don't have to worry about people knowing us. Only our songs will be released. Not our identity. At least, not until the real thing, if we even make it there." Marlene huffs.
That calms the atmosphere down a little. At least we don't have to worry about people knowing us before the real concert.
"Which also means we have to be extremely cautious about how we act in public, especially our friends. We have to act like we are just normal people. You know, not school idols." Christina says.
"Don't people know us already, I mean, like in the school?" Marlene questions.
"Not really. We have only done what, one freaking performance. People don't even remember our name!" She exclaims.
"You're right, Christina." I add. "We can't talk about anything related to the concert in front of our friends." I say. The thought of hiding something like this from Tobias makes me sick. But I have to. If we reveal ourselves to everyone, it will definitely backfire at us if we fail.
The bell rings, indicating the end of lunch break.
"Alright, see you guys later." I say.

"Who is your best girl? You know, from A-RISE?" I hear Shauna ask Zeke.
"Erena of course! She is like totally awesome!" He says, in which Shauna agrees with him. Little do they know that we may be meeting them because of the fact that they're our rivals.
"Tris???" Uriah's waving his hand in front of my.
"Oh! Sorry I spaced out!" I say.
"I asked you who was your favorite from A-RISE." Tobias tells me, putting an arm around my shoulder and pulling me closer to him.
"Uh...Anju?" I say.
"Oh her!..." Uriah launches off into a long rant about her after that. I wish I could tell them. They're my best friends. I feel like I am betraying them for some reason. I want to share my worries. But I can't.
I feel Tobias kiss my cheek. "What are you thinking about?"
"Nothing much." I answer casually, kissing his cheek and burying my head into the crook of his neck.
"Let's meet on Saturday if you're free." He says quietly.
I think about it. Why not?
"Yeah sure." I say.
xXx
"Ugh...its just not..." I trail off. I am trying to write songs. But I can't.
What can I even write about? I have no idea. "What are you doing?" I hear my mom's voice, through the door to my room. Which opens and in steps my mom.
"I am writing songs. At least, trying to." I say.
"You know. You shouldn't force yourself when it comes to writing songs." She says. "Songs can be something that express emotions. Very deeply. They shouldn't be forced."
I ponder over what she said. Am I trying too hard? I think so.
"Alright mom. I will give it a break for now then." I say.
"Anyway, I just came to see what you're doing. I have to go now. Bye dear." She says and leaves. I sigh. She's always busy.
Songs can express emotions, huh? I will have to think about that one. Please suggest some songs that you may want for their next single, thx for reading ;)
