The only one in the room that had realized what Meg's plan was Meg herself, which probably made everything more entertaining for her.

"You know what we should do?" she asked after she ran up to KOP in the hotel lobby. "We should all go out for lunch today. So we can get to know each other. And maybe share band tips," she said.

The whole KOP + Sam was confused with this random need for interaction. "All of us?" Gabe asked. "Yeah, Meg, maybe only you should go and have lunch with them," Ruby said, looking very intensely at her.

"Maybe you and the rest of our band could have lunch," Gabe said. "Why, what're you gonna do with Sam?" Dean blurted out, his voice still croaky and Sam glared at him. "You know, you guys don't have a drummer in your band so there is no point of me coming to the lunch to share tips, is there?" Benny asked and took a step back.

Dean looked at him, then looked back at Meg. "I can't leave Benny alone, it wouldn't be fair," he said. Meg rolled her eyes. "So I'll just have lunch with Cas then? Deal, I've been wanting to spend some time with him anyway," she said and grabbed Cas's arm.

Dean glanced down at Meg's grip on Cas's arm and up at Cas, then back at Meg. "You should've told us if that was your plan all along," he said after an awkward silence, his voice getting thicker again.

A spark appeared in Gabe's eyes and he smirked at Dean, then at Meg. "I'm sure that wasn't her plan. Let's go out for lunch together. Come on, I know a good place," he suddenly changed his mind and leaded the way.

Dean turned to look at Benny, who waved at him and mouthed "I'm not coming." Dean looked sad for a second then followed Gabe.

Meg still hadn't let go of Cas's arm. "What are you doing?" Cas quietly asked Meg as they left the hotel (nobody noticed Ruby and Lilith running away from them) but Meg just shrugged.

A few minutes later, the five of them were in a nice restaurant that was almost completely empty except for an old couple in a booth. They all sat down at a table and Meg sat next to Cas; but Dean sat across him.

They silently looked at the menu while Sam and Gabe had a little conversation. "Seems like we just can't get enough of this place, coming back after last night." After they all ordered their foods, a silence fell on the table.

"So, your bandmates seem to have left," Dean said to Meg. "Yeah, they're not very reliable when it comes to having my back," she said. "You should ditch them then," Dean said back and Meg thought for a moment. "You're right – I should. Can I join your band?" she asked, making Dean laugh.

"Why is it funny?" Meg asked, looking as serious as possible. "It's- it's just- Cas told me that you were tone deaf back in high school," Dean said and coughed awkwardly. "Oh, you talk to him?" Meg asked, raising an eyebrow.

Cas wanted to facepalm himself, but he fought the urge. This was embarrassing.

"O-of course I talk to him," Dean said and started playing with a loose thread from his shirt. Then he scoffed. Meg shrugged and looked away, then smiled at Cas. Cas didn't smile back.

"Okay," Gabe said. Sam smiled awkwardly at Meg and Meg stared at him. "What's your deal?" she asked him. "What do you mean?" he asked back.

After a few minutes of pointless chatter about why being a lawyer sucked, the food came and the conversation gradually turned to Cas.

"I'm kind of amazed at how good you still are at bass guitar," Meg said. "Why amazed?" Cas asked. "I mean, you've been playing it since you were, what, twelve?" "Thirteen," Dean intervened. "Oh, sorry. Thirteen. Whatever. Anyway, you've been playing it for so long and you still haven't gotten bored of it. What do you do, do you practice all day? You're pretty good," Meg said.
