Cas calmly walked around the room. His gaze landing on many different things. Sam stood hands on his hips, staring at Dean who was pacing around.
"Well, it's obvious she was injured. I won't be able to tell how severely until we find her," Cas said his eyes flicking towards the large pool of blood on the floor. Dean threw his hands up,
"Yes Cas, that was obvious," stress sat at the corners of his mouth,"We need to figure out what did this," he ran a hand frantically through his short hair. Sam had a calm and focused look on his face. But inside, he was stressed.
"Let's get back to the bunker and see what the Men of Letters have," he suggested as Dean examined your phone that was left behind in pieces.
"I'll stay behind and see what else I can find. I'll call you soon," Cas nodded his head.
Quickly, they fled the house, being sure to lock the doors, and turn out the lights, so it wouldn't look like you were home.
Dean's gripped the steering wheel so hard his knuckles were turning white. Sam was staring off into the street, trying to ignore the feeling of dread in his stomach.
He noticed a crumpled up newspaper on the floor of the impala. He picked it up, and struggled to read the date.
Yesterday. It made sense why he hadn't really read it. He and Dean were a little too focused on Christmas shopping, trying to find you the perfect present, as you dominated every year.
He flipped through and tried to read a lot of the little articles. One caught his eye.
LOCAL MAN FOUND: INSIDES MELTED - POLICE BAFFLED
His stomach dropped. Monsters of all sorts flashed through his head, but one stuck.
A Djinn.
He kept his mouth shut until they made it to the bunker.
Dean was inside before Sam could even open his door. He slammed the door shut and sprinted inside after him.
Dean was pulling book after book off the shelves and onto the table. Quickly opening them, looking for anything that could be the answer. Sam searched the shelves quietly, looking for a certain book.
Once he found it, he sat down at the table, and flipped through until he found the correct page.
Djinn (Jinn):
Djinn are humanoid creatures with tattooed skin that prefer to live in large ruins with a lot of places to hide. They feed on human blood and can poison their victims with a touch. The poison can be used either to kill their victims quickly, or to leave victims in a coma-like state while the djinn feeds on their blood over a long period of time. Djinn are depicted in the as beings with powers. Contemporary lore depicts them as genies and are able to read a person's mind to learn their deepest desires; however, the djinn do not truly grant wishes like the genies of lore. Instead, using their poison, the Djinn causes hallucinations so powerful that the immobilized victim thinks he or she is actually living in the reality the Djinn implanted.
Sam slid the book over to a frantic looking Dean, and when he looked at it, realization flooded his features.
"Of course," he said running hand slowly over his face,"Let's check out the newspaper archives and see if we can find a trail,"
******
It was the next day, and they hadn't slept. Sam and Dean were both chugging coffee as if their lives depended on it, to be honest, your life depended on it.
They had found over 9 cases in the past month of people who had been found with melted insides. This Djinn was extremely active, and that scared the crap out of Dean and Sam. But, the victims that had been found, had been missing for 2 months. This Djinn was just dumping bodies at this point.
Dean lay passed out on an open book as Sam thumbed through the books. Cas had started tracking, and essentially they were waiting for news. There wasn't much they could do but wait. It drove them nuts.
The phone rang, causing Dean to jump awake in a panic, and Sam to leap towards it. Dean looked around his eyes wide, and Sam clicked the green phone glowing on the screen as he stood up.
"Cas?"
"I think I've found her," he spoke sounding very frustrated. Sam started pacing in small circles as Dean kept asking what was wrong.
"Where?" he started just as Cas started to say,
"But, I can't go in," he said obviously out of breath. Sam's eyes went wide as Dean finally got tired of Sam not saying anything, and snatched it from his grip.
"Cas. What's wrong?" Dean said walking away from an angry Sam. He kept trying to take the phone back, but Dean pushed him away.
"There's angel warding on the building," Cas spoke quietly,
"Okay, that's fine, just tell us where, and we'll be there," Dean said sounding extremely calm for the situation.
Once they had your location, they were in the impala. Dean put the key in the ignition,
"Let's go get our girl,"

ANWYAYS
I would love to thank Supernatural Wikia for the small bit about the Djinn. It was so helpful and saved me from writing a whole ton. So go check out Supernatural Wikia to find out anything your heart desires to know about Supernatural monsters, spells, characters, etc!
I know that this was a filler chapter but things will clear up in the next chapter! Also, I had an idea for a chapter, it's going to be called "Djinn Dreams", and essentially be based off of this mini series. You can guess by the title what will happen in the chapter.
Thank you all for reading, and thank you to the two who requested this chapter!
