It was a sunny day outside, but it wasn't sunny for you. You let your long chestnut hair drape over your shoulders as you went to hunt out the shapeshifter. You had just left Atlantic City, headed for St. Louis. You had gotten a call from your college friend, Emily, who happened to be one of the only people who knew about your job. She said that two other guys would be there, but you just blew it off, assuming that they were just two of her friends helping her out.

She claimed that her best friend, Zach, had been framed for murder, but she was with him when the authorities said the crime happened.

+_-_+_-_+

When you arrived to Emily's house, there was a black Impala sitting in her driveway. Two men were at the front door knocking and the long-haired guy turned around and made eye contact with you. No matter how far away he was from you, his hazel eyes gleamed with lust and you were immediately attracted. After a few seconds of you both pausing and staring at each other, he hit the shorter, and shorter-haired, man next to him and he turned around as well. He cocked his head and winked at you as you started walking over.

"Well hello there." The shorter guy laughed and smiled.

"Dean, cut it out."

"No Sammy. I don't want to be rude." Dean shifts over to you and smiles once again. "Well, why are you here? You a friend of Emily's?," Dean finishes.

"Um, yah I guess." You shift your weight to one leg and Sammy starts to ask questions as well.

"What do you mean 'I guess'?"

"Well, I sleep on couches and travel whenever I want. I don't really have time for friends. My time is spent, and wasted, on my job." The both look at you with confusion. They start whispering into each others ears and give you funny looks.

Dean starts, "Are you a hunter?"

"Well, I don't hunt animals."

"You hunt spirits," Sammy says.

"Correct! One thousand dollars goes to Sammy!," both you and Dean laugh.

Sam just laughs and Dean looks over at Sam with confusion.

"But uh, is she home?" You point to Emily's front door and go look through the windows.

"We knocked right as you pulled up, so probably not," Dean says.

"I can tell. And even better," you swipe your fingers over the yellow sulfur left on the windowsill, "Sulfur."

"Damn it." Sam paces around and starts messing with his hair.

"Sam, just calm down."

"I can't calm down Dean! She called me a few hours ago while we were at the hotel! This just happened, I don't know where she is. And even better, we are dealing with a demon."

"Okay, well we will find out Sammy. We will find out where she is."

"No we won't Dean. I don't even want to try anymore."

You were still over by the windowsill and Sam was facing away from you. He itched the back of his head and his skin started to peel up. He quickly pushed it back down with his fingers before Dean noticed.

That's not Sam.

You look over to Dean and wave him to come over.

"I'll check the other windows for more sulfur." Sam walks away and Dean comes near you.

You go up to his ear and whisper, "When Sam itched the back of his neck he pulled up skin. He's a shapeshifter."

"That would explain why he didn't respond to you calling him Sammy and him wanting to give up." Dean nods his head and comes back in, "But I don't want to shoot yet, I'm not going to kill my brother."

"I understand. I won't shoot either, unless you make the call."

"Well you know that nothing will happen unless you have-"

"Silver bullets. I know, I'm not a rookie."

"That's just textbook stuff, wait until you meet the real deal."

"Well if capturing, exorcising, killing, banishing, and torching spirits and demons is a rookie kind of thing, then I guess you are a rookie too."

He stands straight and looks at you with astonishment. "Wow. Most hunters we meet just light-up bones. I would never expect this out of you."

"Sexist!" You walk away heading back over to where Sam went.

"Wait!," Dean chases you until he catches up and you can hear his heavy breaths, "Sorry, that came off a little sexist."

"Yah, I know," you say.

You both eventually make your way over to the other side of the house and Sam wasn't anywhere. Dean steps on something that makes the weirdest sound. He looks down and takes a big gulp.

"You're right, it was a shapeshifter. And he just shed Sam's skin."
