Chapter 10

Alec's POV
This was a dream. This can't be my life. Alec thought as he kissed Magnus who was laying under him on the couch.

"So, what time are your parents coming home?" Magnus asked then.

"I don't know. Late." Alec replied, holding himself up with his elbows. "That usually means like 9pm so I think we're fine."

"Good." Magnus said grinning. "What about Izzy and Max?"

"She took him to his football practice." Alec explained. "Will probably be home around eight."

"Okay, just making sure." Magnus said, his hands traveling up and down Alec's back. "You know.. Not to get interrupted."

"This is why we should hang out at your place." Alec said. "So everything wouldn't have to be so goddamn scheduled."

Magnus laughed. "You know, just because my mom's fine with me dating whoever I want, doesn't mean we can just make out on the couch while she's there, watching tv or something."

"Yeah, yeah, got it." Alec said, shaking his head with a laugh. "Stop making me laugh when I'm trying to be serious."

Magnus smiled. "Why do you have to be serious?"

"I don't have to be serious." Alec replied. "But I rather not laugh when I'm kissing you."

"You're not kissing me." Magnus said and Alec rolled his eyes before leaning down, pressing his lips on his, kissing him slowly.

"Now I am." He mumbled against the other boy's lips and felt him smile before they both drowned into the kiss again. Alec let out a sigh just as they heard the frontdoor opening.

"I can't believe you forgot." Maryse's disapproving voice said.

Alec untangled himself from Magnus so quickly and in panic that he fell off the couch with a yelp and Magnus pulled him up quickly.

"Well, you didn't remember either." Robert was saying just as they walked into the livingroom. Robert raised a brow at the two boys who were just standing there and staring. Maryse looked up from a mail pile that she had been going through.

"Hi." Alec said then. "You're home early." Yes, idiot, that's exactly what you wanna say when you're trying to hide something.

"Yeah, turned out we didn't have to work late after all." Robert replied. "What's going on?"

"We totally forgot Max's practice." Maryse explained. "Apparently you did too."

"No, Izzy took him." Alec replied. "Because uh.. I had a friend over." He gestured at Magnus. "This is, um, Magnus."

"Nice to meet you." The boy said politely.

"You too." Robert said. "I'm Robert and this is Maryse."

"Hello." Maryse said smiling. "You go to school with Alec?"

"Yep." Magnus replied. "The same one."

"You got the project ready?" Maryse asked.

"Yeah, we did." Alec said. "We were just.. Hanging out now."

"Well, it must've turned out great." Robert said with a smile. "Since you spent so much time on it."

Alec wasn't sure was he hinting something or not and just nodded. "Yeah, we certainly worked hard on it." He mumbled. "Guess I really wanna impress my new teachers."

"That's great." Maryse said. "Just don't take too much pressure."

"I won't." Alec said quickly. "So.. We were just about to go upstairs actually." He said and was about to grab Magnus' hand and pull him with him but instead just walked towards the staircase. "See you guys later. Coming, Magnus?"

"Yep." Magnus said, hurrying after him and they quickly walked up the stairs. Alec immediately felt like he had acted like a nervous idiot and if his parents hadn't been suspicious before, they probably were now. He opened his room door, pretty much pushing the other boy in before closing it after them.

"Oh, my God." He said, running his hands over his face. "I'm sorry. Trust me, they have never came home early when they have said they'd be working late."

Magnus laughed. "It's okay. You don't have to apologize from me."

"Why do you look amused?" Alec asked scowling.

"Come on." Magnus said. "That was a bit funny."

"What part of that was funny?!" Alec demanded, his voice much higher than usual.

"Relax." Magnus told him. "Don't take it so seriously."

"Of course I'm gonna take it seriously." Alec hissed. "They almost saw us!"

"But they didn't, nothing went wrong." Magnus said. "Can you at least try to laugh at it? You should've seen your face when you heard them. You were like a deer in headlights."

Alec rolled his eyes but couldn't help smiling a bit even though he tried to fight it. "Whatever."

"Do you fall down often when you're nervous?" Magnus asked then and Alec gave him a look.

"You need to shut up. Right now." He said and Magnus just laughed, wrapping his arms around Alec's waist.

"Okay. I'll stop talking." He said, kissing the other boy softly. Alec wrapped his hands around Magnus' neck, kissing him back and felt a little more at ease.
