Yep, it really started to rain. Alec thought as he was sitting under a busstop. He wasn't really waiting for a bus but it was a nice shelter from the pouring rain.

He had turned his phone off once Isabelle had tried to call him multiple times, but now got it out of his pocket and turned it on just in case his parents had tried to reach him. No, he wasn't gonna answer or go home yet, he just wanted to see. Nope, nothing. He was about to put it back when it started buzzing because of a call. Magnus. Alec stared at the name on the screen but didn't press answer or decline. Eventually it stopped ringing and he still held his phone in his hand. Then he got a message about a voicemail and hesitated before deciding to listen to it. He put the cold phone against his ear.

"Hey." Magnus' voice said. "I don't know do you have your phone with you, is it off or do you just decide to ignore me but.. Izzy told me what happened." Alec closed his eyes and cursed in his mind. "I just wanted to talk and you know.. See if you're okay. You can always come here, you know? Or tell me where you are and I'll come there. I just wouldn't want you to be alone right now. I mean I don't know are you alone but Izzy says you just stormed out so I guess so. Anyway, look, I know you must feel bad, just-..." The message was caught off and Alec pressed the next one. "Goddammit, stupid time limits ruin everything. Now I forgot where was I..." There was a long pause. "Right. Yeah. I know you're feeling bad now but it'll get better, I swear. Just let me know you're okay. And Izzy too. She's worried. I'm worried. I'm sure you're parents are worried too. Just.. Say something. Send me an emoji cat. Anything. Okay.. Bye."

Alec sighed, pulling his knees to his chest, leaning his elbows against them and gripping his phone in his hands, leaning his forehead against them and squeezing his eyes shut. It was pretty cold. That was all he let himself think about. He didn't want Magnus or Izzy to be worried but he didn't wanna talk. He was allowed to be upset and angry. And he definitely didn't wanna go home.

"Excuse me?" A voice said then and Alec looked up to see an older woman standing there with a dark purple umberella. "Is everything okay, dear?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." Alec assured her. The woman didn't look too convinved but seemed to think she had at least tried and kept going.

Alec leaned his head back down, feeling like the inside of his head was even more depressing right now than the puddles, the constant rain, the dark clouds and the dark grey color everywhere. This sucks. He thought. This sucks, this sucks, this sucks. He didn't wanna do anything, he just wanted to be alone, feel bad on his own and just block out everything around him. But at the same time he wanted to fix this, wanted everything to be okay.

He jumpped a bit as his phone started ringing again and he looked at the screen. It was Isabelle. He simply pressed decline and turned his phone off again before putting it in his pocket. He saw a man with his hood pulled up and his liqoir bottles clinging in his plastic bag walking by and suddenly got up.

"Hey, wait." Alec said and the man turned to him with a frown. Alec pulled his hood up as well since the rain was falling on him now too. "Can I buy one of those from you?" He asked, gesturing at the bottles.

The man looked at him suspiciously. "Are you 21? I don't want any trouble." His voice was a low growl.

"Yeah. And it's not like I'll tell anyone." Alec said. "I'll pay more than you payed."

Magnus' POV
After being worried for several hours, it was a relief to see Alexander Lightwood standing at his doorstep, but at the same time all Magnus could think of was that he had never seen anything more sad.

"Hi." Alec said quietly, all his clothes completely wet and his black hair glued to his face, his striking blue eyes standing out.

"Oh, God, Alexander." Magnus said and pulled him inside, hugging him and not caring about the fact that he was completely wet.

"Whoops, careful." Alec said, quickly catching a glass bottle he had almost dropped from his pocket when Magnus had hugged him.

"Oh, my God." Magnus said, completely horrified.

"I haven't drank a drop." Alec mumbled. "It's full, as you can see."

"Then why do you have it?" Magnus asked as he closed the door after them.

"I wanted to drink it." Alec replied. "But then I didn't."

"What stopped you?" Magnus asked.

Alec thought for a while. "The fact that I realized what I really wanted was to go to you and showing up completely wasted probably wasn't a good idea. Besides.. I'm smarter than that."

Magnus smiled. "Good. Cause that would've been really stupid."

"Yeah." Alec agreed and looked down at the bottle. "Not sure why I brought it all the way here.. Maybe because I payed way too much for it."

Magnus laughed and hugged him again, this time even more tightly and not letting go. "You're an idiot."

"I know." Alec said but hugged him back, closing his eyes and feeling slightly better. "Is your mom here?"

"No." Magnus replied.

"Good." Alec said. "Cause I doubt she'd appreciate me showing up like this."

"I told you you could always come here." Magnus said.

"Yeah, but I mean looking like I woke up from the nearest ditch." Alec explained and Magnus laughed.

"You're an idiot." He repeated and pulled back enough to kiss him quickly. His lips were cold and wet from the rain. "But I love you."

Alec smiled. A relieved, tired, sad, goofy smile. "I love you too."

"You want some dry clothes?" Magnus asked then.

"No offense," Alec said. "But I think I can't pull off your leather pants."

Magnus rolled his eyes. "I own more casual clothes as well." He said. "But no offense," He added. "I don't think I have anything from Worn, Black and Ripped, which is apparently where you get your clothes from."

Alec scowled but couldn't help laughing. "Dry clothes would be nice, thank you." He knew it. This is where he needed to go. A while ago he thought he wouldn't smile, let alone laugh, anytime soon. No, he shouldn't have come here in the first place. Yes, he had needed to sit in the rain, think, be sad and try out a new direction as a sad alcoholic who doesn't even drink. But yeah, this is where he had needed to go now and he was glad he had.
