Ch.19: The Fifth Hokage, Sake, and Kakashi's Mask

Serena's POV

It has been a couple of days since we came back to the village. I had been working at the hospital most of the time on surgeries, autopsies, and just frequently visiting patients and giving them company.

Today I had to do a couple of surgeries. I went to the top floor of the hospital. This is where the Surgical Department was located. I climbed up stairs and put my stuff away in my office. Yes I had my own office! Isn't that cool! I was the VP of the hospital, or 2nd in charge. The Hokage will be first.

I changed into scrubs and went to the OR. I scrubbed my hands for 10 minutes, every single place, nails, and between fingers. I went inside OR 1 and the nurses helped me put on my gown and mask.

"Alright. We will be performing a triple bypass surgery today. It will take a minimum of 6 hours to complete." They nodded. "Let's begin."

**Time Skip 8 hours**

"Alright, we have completed the grafting and sown it back to the arteries. The procedure is complete. Please patch him up." I told my helpers. They nodded.

I went outside and took off my gown and gloves and threw them away. I washed my hands again for another 15 minutes. You can never be too careful with infections.

I went back to my office and put my lab coat on. I sat down and began writing the chart for the patient I performed surgery on. Because I had been working at the hospital for a couple of late nights, I wore glasses. But JUST at the hospital because I have to read charts.

A knock came on the door. "Come in." A nurse entered. "Senju-sama, the 5th Hokage has arrived at the hospital and is with your patient, Sasuke Uchiha." she informed me. I nodded. "Thank you." I stood up and went downstairs to the third floor. I was walking in the halls until I reached Sasuke's door.

I took a deep breath and quietly slid the door open. Sasuke was up sitting on his bed, Sakura and Naruto beside him. Mom was checking over his monitor and Shizune was standing towards the end with Tonton. I leaned against the door and crossed my arms with a smirk.

"Well well well... I see that the number one Medical Ninja has returned." I spoke. Everyone looked at me. "SERENA!" Naruto yelled and hugged me. "Hey Naru-chan!" I greeted him.

"Serena! You look so different in glasses and a lab coat! Do you work at the hospital??" Naruto asked. "Yup! I've been working for a while. Doesn't this outfit make me look like a hot shot!" I winked.

He grinned. "Serena this is Granny Tsunade, Granny Tsunade this my best friend Serena!" Naruto said. I smiled so big. My eyes lit up with happiness. I ran to mommy and hugged her. "MOMMYYY!!!" I yelled out.

Tears started pouring from my eyes as I sobbed into her chest. "I missed you so much! You know that! It's been too long!" I pulled away and smiled at her.

She looked at me with tear filled eyes. "Yes it has. It's been about 5 years." She told me and kissed my forehead. "I missed you so much Angel. You have grown up so much!" She grinned.

I turned away and looked at the others. Everyone had their jaw dropped, except Shizune. She just had a smile. I walked up to her and give her a big hug. "I missed you so much Shizune oneesan." She smiled at me.

"Me too Lady Serena, me too." I grinned and kissed a grown up Tonton.

"GRANNY TSUNADE IS YOUR MOM?????" Naruto yelled. I laughed and nodded. "Yup. Can't you see our resemblance?" I stood next to mom as they compared us.

"She looks like a spitting but younger image." Sakura pointed out. I smiled. I looked at Sasuke and went up to him and slapped him across the face.
