“Come on, we need to celebrate, what do you want to do?” Me and Conor walked out of the building that just decided our fate and I decided we needed to do something.
“I want to go to your place.” I looked at Conor wearily and he beamed a smile at me. “I promise I won’t come on to you or get you into bed.” He raised his hands up in surrender and I raised an eyebrow at him wish a smug smile on my face.
“And what makes you think that you could get me into bed eh?” He chuckled to himself as we began to walk down the street.
“No one can resist my charm Ali, it’s impossible.”
“Nothings impossible, if you just believe.”
“I’ll think you find some things are actually, such as teaching a legless man to tap dance.” My mouth dropped open. “What? It’s true.”
“You’re so horrible Conor Maynard, but wait ago to ruin the encouraging little speech.”
“Just stating the obvious Ali,” Conor draped one arm across my shoulder and I tensed at his broad action. “Do I make you feel uncomfortable?” I looked up at Conor and was surprised when I saw his face inches away from mine. I tried to swallow the lump in my throat and my breathing began to hitch. He moved in closer to me, what was I doing?! I don’t know this boy, fuck, stop yourself Alise! STOP! Conor let out a little laugh and pulled away from me. “I wouldn’t say uncomfortable, I would say…nervous, wouldn’t you?” I rolled my eyes at him and began to pick up my speed. “Slow down Speedy Gonzales! We have plenty of time!”
“I’m tired so hurry up, I only live about 5 minutes away.”

“Yeah…this is my apartment.” Conor’s eyes trailed all over the living room and I went and took a seat on the sofa. “Sit down and stop being nosy.” Conor was picking up all the objects in the room. “So what exactly do you want to do?”
“I want to take you into your bedroom and make sweet, sweet love to you Ali…” I burst out into laughter but he raised his eyebrows at me. “I’m being serious.”
“Of course you are Conor, now on a serious note, what do you want to do? I have a few films I brought; I guess we could watch one.” Conor sat down on the sofa and nodded his head. I got up and placed one of my favourite films of all time, ‘The Notebook’. It never failed to make me cry. I went over to the light switch. “Okay, when the lights go off, keep your hands to yourself or they go back on.”
“I can’t promise you anything Alise,” He gave me a cheeky wink but I rolled my eyes at him.
Half way through the movie Conor yawned and ‘stretched’ his arms out and rested one arm behind me on the sofa. I paused the movie and raised my eyebrows up at him.
“You did not just do, ‘the move’, are you fucking kidding me Conor!”
“I was not doing the move! I was just yawning!” A giggle escaped my lips and I threw a cushion at Conor. “Don’t throw a pillow at me!” Conor smashed it over my head. “Shit, I didn’t mean to do it that hard im sorry!” More laughter erupted from me and I slammed my body against Conors.
“How dare you smash a cushion over my head you ass hole!” Conor was laying on his back and I was hovering on top of him. My breathing was a bit ragged and a smile grew on Conor’s face. “What are you smiling at?”
“I just realised how beautiful you really are Ali,” Conor tucked a few stray hairs behind my ear and I suddenly felt incredibly awkward. “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to make you feel awkward or anything…” I shifted away from him and gave him a shy smile.
“No…its cool don’t, worry about it.” I played the movie and we sat in silence until the end credits appeared on the screen. “I best be going then. I had a nice time, we didn’t exactly celebrate but this was cool. I guess I’ll be seeing you sometime soon.” I walked Conor to the door and he stood outside for a bit. “Can I ask you something?” I nodded my head at him. “Could I…Could I take you out tomorrow?”
“I-I don’t know…”
“Only as friends, I swear.” I debated it for a minute but nodded my head. Just friends, what’s the harm in that?
“I’ll pick you up at 8, see you later Ali.” Conor walked down the hallway and I called after him.
“You better keep your hands to yourself!” I heard him chuckle and he turned around with a beautiful smile on his face.
“I can’t promise anything Ali.”
